Barr Installs Outside Prosecutor to Review Case Against Michael Flynn, Ex-Trump Adviser

It was a plea deal. Do you know what that means?

Yes. And, it is really, really hard to fix that. But, if there was prosecutorial misconduct (or misconduct by FBI who is also part of FBI) that puts a different spin on it.

I am an honest person. But, I wonder what I would do if I had to sell my house to pay lawyers to defend me --and, if the prosecutors told me they were going after my son if I did not plead.

Lying is always bad--but, when it comes to lying by the prosecutors, that is worse. Maybe Flynn is guilty, but there is plenty of evidence that this whole thing smells.

I'm confused. Flynn swore under oath in front of the judge that he lied to the FBI. And now he's saying that he lied then under oath, but didn't lie when he talked to the FBI about his conversations with Kislyak.

Even though they have recordings of the conversations with Kislyak so they know what was said. And Flynn also told the same lies to Mike Pence that he told the FBI.

The lies he now denies saying.

Got it.

I'm an honest person. And Flynn is a liar. Among other things.

No. It means that Flynn avoided more serious charges by pleading guilty to a lesser charge.

Watch more Law and Order.

What would you do? Well hopefully you wouldn’t side deal outside of our national interests to begin with. That would be a great way to not find yourself in Flynn’s predicament.

Maybe it deserves its own thread, but everyone should read this editorial from 1991 about Bill Barr. Did everyone know he went to the same high school as Roy Cohn?

Isn’t today the day Flynn is supposed to be sentenced? Any news?

Barr’s got a gigantic mess on his hands over at doj. There’s a lot of poisoned fruit to clean up after the mueller debacle.

Barr created the mess. Someone else will clean it up when the DOJ means actual Justice again.

Maybe PP thinks it’s ok to lie to the FBI unless they tell you you are being investigated?

Flynn should have gone to prison two years ago. I agree that his post-sentencing behavior has been ridiculous.

Get on it, Barr. Lock him up!

Barr won't do a thing but shouldn't the Department of the Army suspend Flynn's pension as they are supposed to do when a retiree is convicted of a felony? He's raking in over $100k in pension yet needed to do the dirty work of another country. Traitor.

Looks like Trump is going to give Flynn a full pardon.

Since his sentencing hasn’t taken place maybe the judge can schedule it after January 20, 2021. It would give Flynn time to prepare for prison.
