Phillip Nathan was walking at an even pace. It would have been easy for the kids to ignore him and move away. But they chose to engage. The man did not ask them to do that.

No other native men progressed forward into the MAGA crowd. The 2 crowds were at the edge of the other. Phillips wasn’t going anywhere except into the boy’s face to chant and beat his drum. It’s clear from the video.

Phillips had a few people with him, and they are clearly walking into the crowed and then surrounded and outnumbered. According to news reports, Phillips walked into the crowd of boys because they were harassing some other people (off camera). And the one boy, unlike the other boys, clearly does not do the natural thing (let someone approaching you get past) but blocks his path. Phillips is going forward and the boy stopa him. What else do you see?

One works as a charge nurse in a ICU and the other is a deployed Marine. The youngest attends college and is a volunteer in the community specifically for autistic individuals. So probably no harassment today. Or ever, psycho. They are all too busy being upstanding and productive members of their respective communities and earning a living.
