Can you read? The black guy did not say that. |
The girl did not start the fight. OMG!! |
You've completely missed the point. It has been this bad for years, it just wasn't broadcast before. All of this just reinforces that there are too many out of control cops and that they should all have to wear body cams at all times while on duty. |
As someone who is glib about racism in this country. |
| I keep reading that a middle aged white woman instigated a physical fight, and that it's on video. The only video I've seen between a middle aged white woman and a young black woman appears to show both of them involved in some kind of disturbing tug of war. Can someone please post something that clarifies the situation? If not, then I have to assume that this is just speculation - like most of this situation appears to be. |
Not what I typed. You "fixing" my post in that way says more about you than me. |
As I read this thread, and the details of this encounter remain rather murky, so who knows, but people seem to be claiming the older woman "started it" by making racially offensive comments. Obviously, most of us teach our children to "use their words" but there does seem to be a contingent that endorses other approaches in response to such comments. Again, who knows how it really went down, I suspect no one other than those who were there will, now that it has become an Internet "thing" |
A scary mob? So if it had been a frat party full of drunk white guys would that have been a scary mob too? Cause I'm sure the police visit frat parties all the time, yet you never hear of them handling the situation like this. |
Why are people lying?? It was a white resident that said it. The black man in the video is a parent of one of the kids who wa assaulted by the officer. |

Benet Embry, a 43-year-old black resident, saw things differently. Embry has lived at Craig Ranch, a planned community in McKinney, for eight years. He said it's a nice place. Racially diverse. People get along there. He said when was at the community pool Friday, a crowd of teenagers showed up -- even though Craig Ranch's strict homeowners' association rules prohibit bringing more than two guests to the pool. The teens huddled by the gate and shouted to let them in. Some jumped over the fence, Embry said. A security guard tried to get them to leave but was outnumbered, so the guard called police. "Let me reiterate, the neighbors or the neighborhood did not call the police because this was an African-American party or whatever the situation is," he said. "This was not a racially motivated event -- at all. This whole thing is being blown completely out of proportion." Embry did say he was disturbed to see the officer kneel on top of the bikini-clad girl and wave his gun and other teens. "I may or may not agree with everything that the police officer did, but I do believe he was trying to establish order," he said. http://www.cnn.com/2015/06/09/us/mckinney-texas-pool-party-video/ |
| No one disputes that the police should have been called, but it was that one police officer that was out of line. His colleagues seemed to be trying to deescalate the situation whereas he was running around, yelling at the black kids and at one point took out his gun. He deserves to be suspended. |
In addition, the girl is a party planner, and was using this event to promote her business Yet no one here wants to hold them accountable because they were black. Which is why they knew they could get away with it. And when a black man stands up to defend his neighborhood and the officers, he's shouted down as a liar. The inability of people not to see this objectively is astounding. |
You saw a video. Is that the whole story? The word 'seem' in your posts implies it's not. |
+1 |
Where does he say that the cop derserves a medal? He did not say that. |
