If you look at the video on the buzzfeed page that is more clear you can see she is refusing to allow the cop to cuff her. From my experience if you resist getting cuffed they take more force to subdue you.

Basically it looked like they tried to organize a large party at a gated community pool.

There was a post I saw online (take it for what it is worth) that this was a result of a viral party thing.

Some dude tweets a location and time for a party (usually on private property that is NOT his) along with escape routes for when the kids get the cops called on them.

They show up, cause a rukus usually, either on their own or because the owners of the private property react unhappily to have 100 or so partying teens show up unexpectedly.

So if this is the case, the kids might have been "invited" but not by anyone who had the authority to use the pool.

The pool is supposedly a private HOA neighborhood pool.

And the long, hot summer of 2015 commences (well, technically in about two weeks). Hot dogs, flags, pools, police, racism.....

This is why I favor putting more public parks and water parks in rich people's neighborhoods. It is a check on racism.

Here is a flyer for the next #DimePieceCookout pool party this time in a weathly neighborhood of Plano. #McKinney

ovo ?@DieuxEnfant Jun 2
this is the move for June 19? make sure if you attend #DimePieceCookout to cop your presale ticket from @sogoodriah ?

You lying bitch. What evidence do you have that the teens have any association with this flier?

Try reading https://twitter.com/hashtag/DimePieceCookout?src=hash

Most of the posts are before the McKinney cookout. They are go around organizing parties at community places and crash them. Not sure why you wanna say I am a lying bitch. It's not hard to read a twitter feed.

Again, do you have any evidence that the teens accosted had any association with this flier? All your flier shows is that someone out there may be planning to go to pools not in their neighborhood. Do you have any proof at all that those teens at the pool went there as part of a concerted effort organized by this flier?

And all of the three pages of this thread justifies the cop's behavior? SMH

We are just supposed to lay down and take it? Black and brown folks still get killed obeying orders.

This cop is disgusting and wrong no matter how you slice it. Running after people and tackling them? Drawing his gun? That's not the way to break up a party.

Those kids had no right to be there-they were uninvited and many were hopping the fence and causing trouble. The officer was having trouble controlling this "mob" of kids and he got carried away. The kids should have sat down as instructed, not "mouthed off". and shown respect. Regardless of race, kids need to learn to follow rules. None of this would have happened if rules were followed. I wonder how many of you would be outraged if a mob of black kids from SE or PG hopped the fence at your fancy HOA pool, community pool (where you pay high membership dues) or private country club and started trouble-this is about a pack of unruly kids not abiding by rules and laws. As usual, it has been turned into a race issue!

I see some idiots have descended upon the thread to promote racist stereotypes. For those who are trying to argue that this is a case of black people seeking to cause a "ruckus" in an all-white neighborhood, the very first link in this thread contains part of an interview in which a black man explains that he lives in McKinney and attended the party:

In the video, some partygoers are seen sitting in the grass and pleading "sir, we just came here for a birthday party, please." Another officer is heard thanking a group of teens for returning a flashlight the officer dropped.

...

Why the police who yelled at the kids to go home -- how did they know those kids didn’t live there?" asked Lashadion Anthony, a barber and realtor in McKinney who attended with his son, a toddler.
"We live here, we pay taxes, we’re law-abiding citizens. Why should be treated differently than anyone else?" he said.

Are you under the impression that this man came to crash also and then gave an interview with his real name? Neither the racists posting random fliers in this thread nor the police had any evidence at all that these kids were not residents of the neighborhood and/or legitimately invited there.

Unruly, pool-crashing kids are not acting in my name. The police are acting in my name. That's why I consider police misconduct to be a really, really big deal.

, the 15-year-old who shot the YouTube video, told BuzzFeed News many students had arrived at the end-of-school celebration at the pool on guest passes. Some had also jumped over the fence.

When you have kids jumping the fence, who do NOT live there, who are NOT authorized to be there, you are going to have trouble. I also read that one of the kids was passing their guest pass through the fence and they were repeating this to get multiple unauthorized/uninvited kids in.

Perhaps we should just look the other way at such behaviors-these "poor little kids" deserve to goo swimming on a hot day too afterall. Next party will be at Kenwood County Club pool-I have seen the fliers all over SE DC-they will be climbing your fence on July 4th! Have fun!

Sounds like Lashadion Anthony was not being treated differently than anyone else-he lives there! The majorituy of the rowdy kids climbing fences who were asked to leave DO NOT live there!

Oh, you know for sure that these teens did not live there or get legit invites? Why have you not passed the results of your investigation to the police and media?

The plan.

Crash private pools provide escape routes, bad mouth / resist cops , shoot YouTube videos to try to get sympathy and avoid getting caught. The cops have been following these party groups so this was the second time. The organizer of the party didn't belong to the pool and was fighting a parent who lived in the neighborhood. The storyline that it was a planned end of school year party with residences is a lie.

Right, cause I demand a pool pass to the whitehouse

Unless you are "brown," please shut up and stop pretending you care about us. My kids don't trespass other people's properties, nor do they act as smart asses when dealing with older neighbors or with the police.

(And, yes, that policeman has been rightly suspended for his overreaction, but the root of the problem was the teenagers' bahavior, not his)
