This video is hard to watch. You can see the kid recording the video sits down, then stands back up without any police intervention. He is never yelled at to leave immediately. His treatment of the 14 year old girl is horrible and pulling a gun on unarmed 14 year old boys is ridiculous. He has 22 years of experience (so he says). Has he never been able to diffuse a situation without pulling a gun?? |
| Sigh. 'Murica. |

According to this article, the fight was actually started by white women.

| What is dinduism? |
| So, where are the people who say that police brutality towards black people is about "class" not race? A white woman using racial slurs started a fight and got violent, but when the police arrived, only black teens were attacked and arrested. I am sure a white person can be found to explain why this was not racism. Let's hear it. |
| Not me. That arrest was awful. The way he grabbed that girl by the hair and pinned her down with his knees, and she's practically naked (in her bikini). Hardly a threat. Then he pulls his gun! Asshole. All he had to do was be nice to them, take their statements. FFS |
Seems like the older lady (white) was a neighbor, and told the non-neighbor kids (black), sorry, this is not your pool. Pretty obvious which side the police is trust more, regardless of race. |
| Outrageous |
| This is really horrible. I really want to hear the explanation for pinning a teenage girl down in a bikini and pulling a gun on unarmed kids. Please white people, explain this. |

Police have a difficult job. It's dangerous, it's mostly thankless, and in many places it's not well paid. But you get to carry a gun and beat people up.
I know there are many good police officers out there. But I am wary of pretty much anyone who wants the job. |
| I am not white or black and if this happened I would get down and follow orders until everything cooled down. Not sure if this is a reaction to all the recent press on confronting and trying to dismiss cops etc... |
Non-white people can read, correct? See a couple comments above. |
Oddly enough, if you watch the video, the white folks aren't getting down and following orders. They're wandering around, stepping over prone Black children, blithely sure that the cops know that THEY aren't the bad guys. |
It doesn't take a genius to figure out who lives in the neighborhood. http://craigranchtexas.com/ http://www.ibtimes.com/mckinney-north-texas-city-center-pool-party-video-controversy-was-sued-over-housing-1955995

Executive Summary: All white rich neighborhood, some black kids were invited to the pool party, many jumped the fence, refused to leave and a fight broke out. White parents get angry and call the cops probably saying "Many black kids jumping over the fence not leaving and fighting". That's why they were targeting the black kids. "Officers were called to the a local community pool around 7:15 p.m. local time to respond to a “disturbance involving multiple juveniles at the location, who do not live in the area or have permission to be there, refusing to leave,” the McKinney Police Department said in a post on its Facebook page. Other calls also advised that the teens were “actively fighting,” police said. While some of the black teens at Friday’s pool party had guest passes to swim in the facility, others reportedly climbed over the gate that encloses the pool, angering some its white patrons. Several adults told the black teens to go back to their “Section 8 [public] housing” developments, BuzzFeed reported. Teens who were there told BuzzFeed that the adults’ racists comments against the blacks were what caused the disturbance." http://www.buzzfeed.com/davidmack/texas-police-officer-suspended-after-pulling-weapon-on-teens |
