It sounds like what you guys are in search of is the "perfect victim." I don't know how you expect that to happen, because the police are not going to show up unless someone in the immediate area is perceived to be breaking the law.

Expect more of your public servants. The idea that a teenager being kicked out of a party has a larger responsibility to behave appropriately and with respect than does a sworn officer of the law is offensive. You PPs' attempts to absolve the officer of guilt in this situation are offensive.

I'm not absolving this officer of guilt. Clearly he needs a different career.
I'm also not absolving the teens of guilt for trespassing or alleviating their parents of their responsibility to raise respectful citizens.

I see 50+ kids crashing a party they weren't invited to.
I see no parents making an effort to know what their children were doing. I know what my kids post on the internet because i make it a point to. If nothing else, for their own safety. And when they say "I'm going here" I pick up the phone and verify that they are in fact going where they say they are.

How do you know which kids were invited? Many of the kids invited were Black, and some of the Black, invited teens were handcuffed. Also, some of the crashers were White.

So you saw 50+ kids who were Black and assumed they are all crashers. You made an assumption about children solely based on the color of their skin. I.E. you are prejudiced.

And swearing that you "know what your kids are doing" is just like the shipbuilders calling the Titanic unsinkable. One of these days, those kids of yours will surprise you and make you eat your arrogant words.

Wait... show me in the PP where I said I saw 50 Black kids? (It's understood what you meant from context.) I said nothing of the such. I said I saw 50 KIDS (50 perhaps being the only exaggeration there since I admit I didn't count). This is you escalating a situation by jumping to conclusions and making assumptions. The very same thing you're wanting to torch this police officer for doing. (Me, and apparently the other cops on the scene with him based on their actions...and his superior officers, based on his suspension...) If you want justice, consider taking a higher road. (That hasn't been working. How many dead children will it take to convince you? The cops all need to be filmed, pronto.) You're not going to win support by being, obtuse, or accusing people of being prejudice when they said nothing of the sort. (You don't even understand your own biases and prejudices. Very sad.)

No one knew which kids were invited or uninvited specifically because instead of cooperating with the authority of the law they mouthed off and made the job of every one of those police officers harder than it needed to be. (Every single kid mouthed off? No. White kids ran around and didn't disperse and were not questioned. The kid TAPING THE FREAKING VIDEO even said how none of the White kids were being targeted for doing the SAME THINGS THE BLACK KIDS WERE DOING. And a grown ass cop should know better than to make a situation with half-naked teenagers worse by screaming obscenities at every Black kid in sight. They were treated worse because of racial bias (which this cop has a history of, BTW) and your stubborn refusal to consider this should make you think about your biases. But then you'd have to confront something about yourself that you don't want to admit. The other cops were not running around like Scrappy Doo. This jerk made the whole situation worse and potentially deadly, and doesn't deserve a badge. Period.)

Be it arrogant or not, but if I'm going to be held legally accountable for the shit my kids do, I'm going to know about it. (So you know every thing your kids have ever done as minors? Every single thing? That is arrogant.) That's called parenting, and while it may not be right for every family, it's right for me. When your kids realize early on they can't get away with things, they stop pulling it. You're right though. My DD was offered a full ride academic scholarship. I sure was shocked!

You are arrogant because you assume you know what your kids are up to. And just because your DD is smart enough to be offered a scholarship doesn't mean that she wont be slurping down beer bongs and Effiel Towering the second she is out from under your thumb. Or she could be cooped up in the library every Saturday night--you just don't know. But to assume that you know everything is ludicrous.

Wow, it is the children's job???? Seriously, this sounds like you would blame the black kids in 1960 Selma and Birmingham for the dogs and the waterhoses.....

You mean, is it the children's job to follow directions?

Yes, it's pretty much their job.

Unless you're planning to raise thugs or terrorists, of course.

Similarly, it is the police officers' job to de-escalate the situation. Is that what you think they did?

Nope, he didn't. That's why he has ALREADY been suspended and is being investigated.

Perhaps now you can start advocating for the prosecution of the trespassers?

How about for the racist wench who started the fight in the first place?

+1. What you say is right, and obviously so.

But some PPs are in love with scum--probably because it is their own.

What are you talking about?? When you say scum, you must be referring to the grown woman who screamed racial insults at teenagers and assaulted one of them. Or do you mean the officer who ran around screaming obscenities at half-naked teenagers? The same officer who couldn't let a smartass crack from a teenager walking away roll off his back and instead snatched her from behind and restrain her even though she was leaving, in a bikini so obviously unarmed, and was in no way a physical threat to him?

Or maybe by scum you mean the person you see when you look in the mirror.

Only the crazy officer. The other officers diffused a situation. That poor girl will now get a nice paycheck curtesy of the McKinley Texas taxpayers for her pain, suffering, and humiliation. Chi Ching.

Sadly, that will likely be the case-along with a couple of riots and some looting for good measure. What does this reinforce to lawbreakers (esp. ones of color)-break the law, disrespect police, cuss them, do not listento them-just cry racism and get a free ride! This type of thing will only get worse.

Did You fools even watch the video of the boy who took the actual video that's on YouTube and how his account matches the account of the girl who organized a the party and how he said the only fight that happened was when the woman slapped the girl!???????

And the supposed homeowner who lived in that development-whose 19 year old daughter decided to invite 100 plus teens to their HOA pool, should be heavily fined for breaking rules-seems like they are middle class, well spoken and can afford a nice home so they should know better than to act like entitled a-holes with no regard for their community or HOA. It was also this 19 year old who got into a fist fight with an older woman in front of that womans 3 kids-oh-the woman deserved it for callingt her racial slurs you say? Then the black teen who cussed at the officer deserved to be taken down too!

+1000.

But let's ignore all this, and scream racism instead. Much more fun!

There is nothing--NOTHING fun about "screaming racism", something someone like you refuses to understand. You have the luxury of not having to worry about racism EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. of your life. so STFU

Michael Cory Quattrin
Facebook friends and family – PLEASE HELP! That (now viral) video of the officer in McKinney subduing a girl in a bathing suit was in OUR neighborhood. The situation was NOT what is being reported…

A DJ setup in a public space next to the private pool in our neighborhood on Friday and played loud explicit (F-bomb) music for multiple hours (it is unclear if he was invited by a resident as no one has claimed responsibility). The teenagers (both black and white) were being brought into our neighborhood by the carload because the DJ was tweeting out invites to a “pool party” for $15 (obviously unauthorized by our neighborhood). The teens began fighting with each other and pushing their way into our private pool. Some were jumping our fence. The security guard was accosted when he tried to stop the beginnings of this mob scene. Some residents who live around the park/pool area tried to come out and settle things down. The teens started yelling racial slurs at our neighbors and started assaulting people and property (throwing bottles at cars and attacking a mother at the pool with 3 young children). The first officer on the scene was by himself. At that time, the party had grown to a large, aggressive crowd. As the officer arrived, many teens started running through our neighborhood. Many of the teens were being very aggressive and yelling at the officers as more arrived.

This was a very dangerous situation for the officers AND the teens/residents not involved. The news media has refused to hear the neighborhood’s side of this story. The video being distributed is only a very small segment of what happened. This information being distributed by the media and others is extremely distorted and in some cases outright lies.

PLEASE HELP US STOP THE BROADCASTING OF THIS IGNORANCE. The media is trying to make it look like our neighborhood is a white’s only, racist area. Anyone who has spent even a few minutes in our area knows this is an outright LIE.

The unfortunate result is that our neighbors are now being threatened. We have also had cars and property in and around the park area vandalized this weekend. Unfortunately, the press and social media are trying to enflame the situation.

I am asking for your help for my family and my neighbor’s safety…PLEASE, PLEASE do not rebroadcast any of these lies."

I will put money on it - this was set up by activists. A DJ just doesn't do this

How can you charge $15 to enter a "public space"?

It was a private space. It was also unauthorized.

It says "the DJ setup in a public space." He then alledgedly tweeted invites for $15.

And people who live there are refuting this

What is happening with the party organizer/ trespasser inciter?
