This. This was our French Revolution, only it was done at the ballot box instead of the guillotine. Let’s count our blessings that we have a civilized system and the system worked.

Yeah, let's make white people and billionaires great again!

I think that about covers it.

Since when does your ilk care about girls and women? You elected a rapist. No one believes you care about women in sports.

The trans topic was really perfect because the GoP could demonize them because few people know anyone who is trans. People don’t know anything about the medical process. It is just perfect for lies!

“Few people know anyone who is trans”
Then the Dems might not have made trans rights a cornerstone of its campaign.

Anyone with a middle schooler knows someone who is trans. Parents see what is happening and voted accordingly.

You are not making the point you think you are. Middle schoolers are not the best representatives of reality.

And that’s exactly my point. They’re not representative of reality. A middle school boy who thinks he’s a girl should not be in a girl’s bathroom or a girl’s team. A man who thinks he’s a woman should not be the U.S. Assistant Secretary of Health.

The original pp said few people know someone who is trans. But it’s become so pervasive in our society that many people do now. We’re letting confused middle schoolers take the lead. Reality matters to most Americans. Democrats lost on this issue.

No way. Biden would have continued to be called old and senile. While Trump is also old and senile, he talks fast and with energy so people ignore the fact that everything that comes out of his mouth is a lie.

I do think that her being a woman of color was part of it. I think the Trump campaign poking holes and confusing her identity ("is she Black or is she Indian? why is she lying?") did get to a subset of voters. Personally, I think the first woman President here will be Republican (like Sandra Day O'Connor on SCOTUS).

I think her voice (unfortunately) was not pleasant to hear and perhaps she needed a media/acting coach to add some heft. Superficial, but I think true.

On the border, I agree - acknowledge it. "The border has been an issue for a long time. Trump tried to fix it, it didn't completely work. We are building on that effort, but its a work in progress."

The campaign strategy was one note. It chased abortion (which I appreciate as a woman) but left out things that mattered to a lot of people who aren't thinking about that right right now (including older woman, outside of the reproductive age). More kitchen table issues would have helped.

I agree that the VP choice was a poor one. They went on a viral moment, rather than on long term usefulness. I think Shapiro would have been a better choice. Perhaps that would have signaled to those sitting out because of Gaza that she doesn't care about the Palestine issue, but I think (unfortunately) those folks didn't vote anyway and so the choice wouldn't have moved the needle for that group (and perhaps could have moved it a bit for Zionist Jewish voters).

Kamala lost because Blacks listened to Gino Jennings instead of the tired old tirade Whitey’s out to get ‘em.

This alienated real women (trans women are not biologically women) and caused them to vote R or not at all.

See pastor Gino Jennings for the definition of a woman.

Agreed.

And it wasn’t necessary to adopt such rigid messaging on a fringe topic.

Heck, people forget that Obama didn’t embrace gay marriage.

Dems should have said we respect everyone—men and women, including trans men and trans women. No need to eliminate the word trans from generic labels. It’s not a bad word.

The amount of attention Democrats at all levels focus on transsexuals is certainly one factor contributing to the blow-out.

For your information, some people (people with rights, by the way), are transgender, not - as you put it - “transsexual.”

And yes, certain transgender folks seek out gender-affirming, medical care. But that is an entirely private matter between them and their doctor!

Your post came off as a little transphobic,
PP. Do better.

The reality is, people voted for a rapist. How does this help women and girls?

Billionaires like Biden and Harris. The wealth gap was larger under Biden.

I’m ok making white people great. Why wouldn’t I want that? I want black people, Hispanic people and Asian people to be great too.

Also, she lost because one side tried ti assassinate the other candidate three times….and it wasn’t Trump supporters

What a racist and xenophobic generalization!

You are wrong and also a terrible human, PP.

And for your information, it is “LatinX people,” not Latinos.
