Sounds like you were obsessing over it. ![]() IUDs were available back then. Sexist OBGYNs probably gatekept them from young, single women, but they were definitely available. I was definitely not ok getting pregnant back then. |
This is Trump’s America. Complete dystopia. |
Listen to the evangelicals -- they want to get rid of birth control. Justice Thomas wants to get rid of birth control. |
And if you had informed opinions based on facts and not GOP fear-mongering and lies, you would know you must NOT vote for Trump. |
NO ONE wants to terminate "past viability." DJT (your hero, apparently) says that they are "aborting" full-term babies. He said that in the debate with Biden. |
Instead of ranting, PP, why not provide solid statistics from a reliable source on all these 9th month abortions because someone had a fight with her boyfriend, etc.? Please. I'll wait. |
It's heartbreaking. It's like Trump has unleashed a meanness in the Republican party and made it ok to have not have any empathy for fellow Americans who have to bear the personal cost as humans to your political policies. |
My niece was at Harris' Houston rally today. She said it was electric and the crowd was energized. She saw Collin Allred and Beyonce. But the speaker who really brought her to tears was a woman who got sepsis because of Trump-Abbott's cruel policies where she couldn't get medical care and it almost cost her life. She contacted sepsis and almost died after being made to carry a stillborn child, her lung collapsed and she has a huge scar down her body. She wanted her baby to live but was still not allowed to get care earlier that could have prevented her from becoming infected with sepsis internally in her lungs, abdomen ... just a brutal story. I have a daughter and I don't want her life and rights to be worse than what I had. I can't stand this. Please vote for Harris. She has empathy and she will try where Trump is just determined to be corrupt and enrich himself. |
Reality check: Catholic hospitals will close rather than be forced to do something against Catholic teachings, regardless of whether the next closest hospital is 500 miles away. |
Most OBGYNs at Catholic medical entities are not insanely dogmatic about contraceptives or abortion. They subtly refer their patients to another provider or facility. |
I suppose that describes me - I'm voting on the combination of abortion rights and not electing the guy who admires Hitler. |
Reality Check: Catholic Hospitals make money. They push millions of dollars to their executives. They will not close. |

I'm not a Trump voter, but I do agree with the criticism of women voting for the single issue, which they interpret based on narrow and uninformed perspectives of the issue. Meanwhile, they disregard the rights and health of thousands of children being mutilated, the co-opting of opportunities and the rights of women by transwomen, and surging crime in our country that threatens all of us. I think many on the left are completely oblivious to just how much the transgender issues are pushing people away from their side. Because few on the left will say out loud just how disturbing it is. |
DP. You are wrong. |
