| One of our local grocery stores is also closing next month due to a steep increase in ‘inventory loss’, the politically correct term for robbery. |
| According to the Justice Department's National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS), more than half of crimes are never reported to the police. In 2022, the NCVS found that 48% of violent crimes and 31.8% of property crimes were reported to the police. |

The media and administration wants to pretend Trump is lying
Criminal aliens are increasingly seeking to exploit the wide-open Southwest border. Since the start of Fiscal Year (FY) 2021, the Border Patrol has recorded 43,674 arrests of illegal aliens with criminal backgrounds, a 99-percent increase from FY2017–20 combined. According to Border Patrol Chief Jason Owens, “hardened criminals often hide in smuggled migrant groups,” trying to take advantage of overwhelmed Border Patrol agents. By October 2023, agents were apprehending around 47 illegal aliens with “serious criminal histories” per day. There are now more than 617,000 criminal illegal aliens on the Non-Detained Docket who have been released into our communities to await the outcome of their cases, up from 407,983 in January 2023. And these are just the ones being caught. With thousands of agents pulled off the border to process and release illegal aliens in the United States, roughly 2 million aliens have entered the country uncaught, and are now at large in our communities — and we know nothing about their backgrounds or intentions. One such gotaway, Juan Ariel Molina-Salles, entered the country at some point after October 2021. He would later strike and kill Pinellas County Sheriff’s Deputy Mike Hartwick on the streets of Florida in September 2022. These ongoing surges across the border are leading to increases in criminal activity. One New York County official recently testified to the House Committee on Homeland Security, “We have seen an increase in crime, basically because you have these organized gangs that are part of the drug cartels from Mexico and other countries who have come to the metropolitan area.” He also noted that many crimes were being committed by illegal aliens to pay back debts incurred to the criminal cartels. Sheriff Michael Bouchard of Oakland County, Mich., noted in 2023 a rising trend of residential thefts committed by “transnational gangs” exploiting the Southwest border. Sheriff Mark Dannels of Cochise County, Ariz., testified last year that “border-related crime” was “at an all-time high” in his county. According to one officer with the New York Police Department, in the wake of nearly 200,000 illegal aliens arriving in the Big Apple, “these migrants are getting arrested quite often here, and some of them are committing some of the most violent crimes here.” The victims of these crimes are ordinary Americans — a teenager in southern Virginia sexually assaulted by an illegal alien earlier this year. A teenage girl in Prattville, Ala., sexually assaulted last May. Another police officer, struck and gruesomely injured during a traffic stop last August. Kayla Hamilton, a 20-year-old raped and killed by an illegal alien gang member in Maryland in July 2022. All were crimes committed by illegal aliens released into the country on Secretary Mayorkas’s watch. To make matters worse, under Secretary Mayorkas’s non-enforcement directives, Immigration and Customs Enforcement is not arresting as many criminal illegal aliens as prior administrations did. In FY2019, 86 percent of all administrative arrests were of criminal aliens, rising to 90 percent in FY2020. These numbers plummeted to just 32 percent in FY2022 and 43 percent in FY2023. |
Trump winning or losing I think will all depend on who Harris picks for her VP. That being said, current social policies and woke ideology is what has driven many to the right. It needs to be reined in a bit. Just take a look at all the attacks on JK Rowling. That is wrong IMHO and I have LGBTQ friends. I stand with JK Rowling, she has the right to her opinion and beliefs. That does not make her anti-LGBTQ. |
Well said |
She shouldn’t be getting death threats, but her anti-LGTBQ beliefs are what make her anti-LGBTQ. |
This was written by Rep. Mark Green, a Republican from Tennessee who does not believe in dinosaurs. |
You must think doctors are sicko murderers then. It's really that simple. Your version of "trusting science" is actively avoiding the issue at hand: there are many scientists who also just know its a clump of cells. |
| I will respect moderates when they actually pull the Republicans in a little and make them adopt a moderate position for their party platform. Moderates always expect the most from Democrats (and recently just are too invested in the culture war to think about the good parts of the Democratic Party) and absolutely nothing at all from Republicans. |
Nope. We'll have to agree to disagree. Because saying you don't believe minors should get gender re-assignment surgery is not anti-LGBTQ. It's not anti-LGBTQ to personally not believe the different genders either - it's called freedom of religion and is a protected class to be equally protected. I respect LGBTQ and their beliefs but vice versa should also stand true. |
Not true - moderates, like myself, want Republicans to adopt a more moderate position on women's reproductive rights for example. On the flip side, we want Democrats to adopt a more moderate position on those social policies and woke ideologies. Not asking that much from Democrats, actually asking more from Republicans. |
Woke ideologies isn't a policy. There is nothing you are saying other than "I don't like that your group is a bunch of wokies." Biden, who is the president of the united states and could've been in 2024 (not likely but potentially), has a long history of racism. I guess you can call Harris woke, cause she's a Black woman but she has a career of imprisoning Black men... I really don't see why moderates complain about the "woke" part of the party, because those are progressives who make up a few house members and none of the national agenda. |
The wokeness is mostly being implemented in state and local constituencies. We also see it in Congress though I don’t think anything’s been able to get through (although this will change if fringe numbers are allowed to grow). I’ll probably vote blue for the executive to stave off tyrannical authoritarianism, but I am going red everywhere else. And not because they’re the best for the job or representative of all my values (not even close), but because the alternative is that bad. |
