LARPing in general is kind of like Renaissance Faire, kind of like acting out storylines and sword fights and stuff in real life. Like D&D but instead of sitting around a table you’re actually out in a field or wherever attacking the monsters or what have you.

DP. Does it have a sexual component? Or do LARPers combine LARPing with sex? (I always learn something new on this site!).

LARPer here. Nope! Some people might after the sun goes down, but sex has nothing to do with the core aspect of Live Action Role Play.

Also, you can verify it on his FB page. A good portion of his friends are from the same LARPing group.

Thanks PP, and I'm sorry for your loss.

I can imagine that as a pretty big guy who did MMA he may not have perceived danger as readily.

LARPing vids on YT look like sweet, goofy fun. I don't think it has anything to do with kinks. Separate hobby.

I'm glad the Reddit poster went to LE with info he knew. Joe may not have harmed any woman. LE seem a bit dubious about the DH's story.

Whether Joe was looking for kicks or if he was hired, he did not deserve to lose his life.

Sadly the truth coming out won't bring either back but it will be a tiny bit of justice. And protect the little girl if the DH is dangerous.

There was another case with possibly very similar facts, someone hired/brought in as a 3rd to be framed by a DH. Anyone remember that? I cannot think of the names.

No, I’m not bothered by nerds dressing up in silly clothes and playing pretend. I was referring to learning of cuckolding fetish and the insinuation by a PP that perhaps the LARPing extended into the bedroom and could’ve resulted in the stabbing, as if that were a reasonable assumption given this affinity.

At the end of the day, two people were killed and it’s absolutely tragic. A 4-yr old has lost her mother. The why has yet to be revealed but I hope their families never find this thread. I wish peace for those mourning.

I definitely don’t think it has a sexual component. I’ve seen a local group and it was almost all dudes anyway. His hobby of playing with foam swords is likely completely separate from any kind of bedroom … stuff.
