Right? It’s like they put out a bulletin to pull the car over, someone did, but then they never updated the bulletin.

I wonder how often people are pulled over for tailgating?

Twice no less!

Someone I know in LE said they wouldn’t waste time on this on an interstate, where they mainly look for speeders and/or drunk drivers. He thinks BK was being tailed by a team since Washington, but that he‘s never heard of jurisdictions being arbitrarily asked to pull someone over for a “check up”—twice!—so he finds that odd.

So odd! And the FBI now says that they did not direct LE to pull him over.

One Reddit theory is that he was likely exhausted and didn’t care to. Though I am curious if him returning later that morning was to come back and kill the living roommates or to look for the knife sheath.

He must have been exhausted and maybe cut/injured himself that he was a bit disoriented. I think he was planning to get the knife sheath and kill the other roommates.

I don't think he ever planned to re-enter the house. I think he was looking for police activity. No one was awake at 9am. If he wanted to re-enter, he easily could have.

I don't think he would go back into the scene of the crime after daybreak - there were cameras on the house, and even he isn't that stupid.

For all we know, he didn't realize he left the knife sheath behind.

He did go back.

The affidavit states his phone pinged "near the house" the next morning.

Yes. I’m not saying he went in. I definitely don’t think he did. But he drove all the way home, 10 miles away, and then his phone pinged back near the crime house several hours later.

Maybe he hoped he dropped the sheath wherever he parked the car and was looking for it.

He really resembles ted buddy both studied criminology at UW

WHOA. He really does. The resemblance is uncanny.

Their noses aren't remotely the same.

Hard to tell from that photo, and I don't care to nitpick with you, but many facial traits are similar. The long face, for one.

Kohberger has a very prominent, hooked nose that sets him apart from Bundy.

The two photos look similar - but I looked up Ted Bundy, and no, they do not resemble each other. PP here.

Interesting thing about the sheath is there was only one drop of dna retrieved from the snap? He almost certainly wore gloves but maybe was sloppy for just a moment?

Good point.

I have heard of criminals trying to survey their damage, so to speak - so either could be true.

Children’s brains are not different. Either your brain fights, flees or freezes. She literally locked memories away for months because of trauma. You have no idea how trauma works.

Also you don’t know the history of the girl, she might have had trauma in her childhood, or in HS, or college. Considering 1 in 4 women have trauma it’s not unlikely.

The reality is a lay person such as yourself does not understand the brain during trauma.

The day DCUM posters can stop arguing about petty, tangential ,insignificant tidbits will be a good day! DP here.

She actually told her parents about the abduction 30-45 minutes later. He told her he would kill her family if she told.

He always used gloves when handling the knife sheath? Even when not allegedly in the house?

The sloppiest of slop!

This case gets more and more bizarre every day

The affidavit says nothing about gloves. Only that the only dna was on a snap on the sheath. And only 1 person’s dna, not multiple.
