Did Stars run out of gas after their tough first game of the day against M&D? Expected a bigger margin against Next Level.

Not passive aggressive. Their other 4 loses were 13-3, 16-1, 17-2, 13-2. expected something similar.

No one is bashing. Candid commentary--without snark or individual attacks--on the 2028 DMV teams is what this board is intended for, right? Stars boosters had been touting improvement coming into the Spring. After playing two tough teams, the Next Level game seemed to be an opportunity to reset. They underperformed against expected margin of victory. Seems like that was what the PP was asking about, not attacking Next Level, even though they are clearly struggling this season.

Next Level has won 1 game by 1 goal. They will leave NGLL with 2 wins on the season. The fact is they aren't a good team

To be fair, Stars lost their best player a min into the game with a concussion. Game would not have been this close. And it was Stars second game of the day

Agree with that. Stars played tough the first half with M&D, but ran out of gas. No more gas in the tank and the loss of a key player had a significant impact in the second game.

Yes, NL had a very bad year. However, Stars will likely not fair much better. They will be blown out by MDU, Skywalkers and Pride. Neither NL nor Stars should be in A.

Stars and Pride always have competitive games, and that is likely to happen again this year. Stars is as deserving as Pride to be playing in the A division.

Sincerely,
A Pride Parent

Dear Stars Parent: you lost to NL last year. You beat Hero’s White by 1 goal that NL easily beat in a scrimmage earlier this year. You have not played the hard part of your schedule yet. You and NL are not good by A standards. You are virtually the same team. Pride is on another level - especially this year. They are the best in the DMV by a mile and the scores prove that. Stars has some nice players, but they will leave soon.

What does “they will leave soon” even mean? They will all be trying to leave next summer after 8th grade year when they try out for Capital.

At least you have players that could move to a better team - nice to have options unlike NL.

Dear Pride parent

Worry less about what NL and Stars are doing. When Pride is competitive and beats the top level teams, you can come on here and brag.
