No move to Stars. No chance of a double upset.

Sorry M&D is still M&d. 2-0 at wog but the Pride game was close. A couple of saves by M&D in the end clinched it.

No double upset, and while there are no moral victories in lax, some decent efforts against M&D by Stars and Pride.

Stars played a great first half and were only down by 1 (6-5) at half time. Second half was a different story as they didn't have the depth to sub their best middies, got tired, and M&D offense went into gear. 14-6 final.

Pride scored first, but went down 4-1, only to battle back and play close throughout. Had a chance to close within 1 at 9-8 with 4 mins left on a point blank shot that the M&D goalie saved. But then went a girl down and M&D played keep away. (Need shot clock). 10-7 final, but it was close the whole game as Pride out shot M&D.

Decent barometer for where the two VA teams are at vs. the elite tier of NGLL.

Serious question. The M&D 2028 girls are big. I know some M&D players on 2025 that have reclassified/ held back a year. It certainly looks like the 2028s have some girls that have done the same.

Can anyone confirm or deny?

No idea but there were some middies who must have been 6 inches taller than the Pride girls.

Not sure either, but I did see two M&D 2028s get in their casr after their games and drive themselves home., One in a Tesla, the other in a Lexus.

Yeah keeping that game in 5 is in the realm of possibility, it’s Stars keeping it within 5 that seems doubtful.

Good call.

Will they be eligible to play sports their senior year of High School? Or, will those that re-classed have aged out?
Thanks.

They will because they don’t have re-classed girls. Appearances can be deceiving at this age, some of their tallest girls are 2010s

And you are also confusing the term “reclassed”. Girls who are born in October, November, and December of 2009 are not reclassed. They had to wait until the following year to start kindergarten. Does that give them a possible advantage, at least until after everyone has gone through puberty? Yes, but they are not holdbacks.

Decent barometer for where the two VA teams are at vs. the elite tier of NGLL.

Pride is more competitive and the scores prove it. Pride could fight for the last playoff spot. while across county, the Stars 26 team may have been the last Stars team to make the NGLL playoffs a for a long time.

Pride has 1 or 2 tough games left, but they are definitely in the playoff hunt
