Will Manchin and Sinema crack?

And, he essentially told the Dem caucus to link the two bills. The far left is in charge here.

This is the platform he campaigned on and he won overwhelmingly. Stuff it.

No. He campaigned on getting Covid under control. That was the number one issue and still is. Not social welfare policies. Even his surrogates only get up there and talk about physical infrastructure and climate change.

NO ONE asked for social welfare and the f**king government being alerted every time $600 is deposited into our accounts.

You weren’t paying attention then. It was all out there. You republicans only have yourselves to blame for backing an insane old man who thinks he’s some kind of king. Stop being authoritarians and peddling crazy conspiracies and maybe you can win an election.

I’m a moderate Dem and if you’d paid attention to the CA recall results - you’d see the same issues polling at the top of voters minds.

The Covid-19 pandemic remains at the top of voters' minds, with about one-third saying it's the biggest issue for the state, according to a California exit poll conducted for CNN and other news networks by Edison Research.

That's followed by just over one-fifth saying homelessness, 1 in 6 saying the economy and wildfires, respectively, and slightly under one-tenth saying crime. Concerns vary across partisan lines: more than 4 in 10 Democrats call coronavirus their top issue, while only about one-fifth of Republicans say the same. On the flip side, Republicans are more than three times as likely as Democrats to name the economy as their top concern.

And here comes the “moderate Dem” brigade to give us the soft core right wing talking points! Hey “moderate Dem:” go look at Biden’s campaign website; it’s probably still online somewhere. It’s ALL this stuff. It was and is popular with MOST AMERICANS.

Me again. For all the “moderate Dems” “just asking questions” I figured non of you Republicans would bother yourselves for three seconds to google it, but here it is, right on the Biden Harris campaign website. It’s called “Build Back Better.” Remember now? It was one of Biden’s main points. https://joebiden.com/build-back-better/

You know what you're right - I read the website and it does address many of the things in the BBB plan. It feels weird that they're hosting townhalls and CNN talk shows on 'Infrastructure' when its really mostly the Working Families portion they care about, but I digress.

This moderate dem is done. Just give me a sane Republican, please. I consider Desantis incredibly sane and logical. Despite the media dragging him through the mud, Florida has done much better with covid than most states while never closing schools, ruining businesses, etc. Hoping Trump chokes on a pretzel or something.

You both are true! Damn. Republicans need to stop peddling conspiracy theories and Dems need to stop putting out massive social welfare bills on that backs of Americans who are just trying to build a nest egg!!

If you consider DoSantis sane, logical and ethical enough to be a President, then you may as well move to Russia or Hungary. Sad.

If you allowed the IRS to actually enforce our tax laws, cut like 400 billion dollars from the defense budget and put a wealth tax on any inheritance over $22 million, you could pay for all the stuff in the Biden bill. But GOP politicians won't even agree to these things that don't touch the Upper Middle Class.

x10000

And people still like to pretend that “both sides” are basically the same. Shove it, losers. These two parties are nowhere near the same in goals, practices or anything else.

And for those tools who are “so grateful” to Manchin and Sinema for their “common sense,” here’s where Ms. Thumbs Down Curtsy went this weekend. Seriously, is the “so grateful” PP a paid for PR person? Because what she’s doing (and Manchin, but he’s being more discreet and is still apparently willing to negotiate. Ms. Thing just left town) isn’t common sense or thoughtful or anything positive.

Yeah, if we would just gut our military while raising taxes still higher we could afford to shovel money at every interest group the Democrats can think of. Why isn't everyone pushing for this good idea?

There is no need for this massive new spending. It wasn't necessary 10 years ago, last year, or this year.
