8.5 most nights. When I had a newborn and had to feed him in the middle of the night, I thought I would die. I really need sleep badly.

HOLY CR*P, seriously??? All at once?

I can't go to bed before midnight or later...usu. wake up a few times a night and usu. up for good by 7am. I need sleep badly too--but I also love to read and only able to do this at bedtime..hence late hours when I am in a good book.

I am once of the 5am commuters. Ideally, I'd get 6hrs (in bed by 11), but thats been really difficult and I have been going to sleep closer to 12. Before I started the 5:30am workout, I was getting 6 hrs (12-6am). I sleep till 7 (or whatever time the kids wake me up) on the weekends.

I'm the pp who sleeps 8.5 hours each night. I don't know your lives, but what are you all doing that's keeping you up so late? Is it busy work or does it really need to be done? I'm a single mom and I rarely do anything after 9:30 or 10:00.

Well I NEED at least 8/9 a night but I can no longer sleep for that long straight through without a sleep aid (Tylenol PM usually works but sometimes I need an ambien). When I dont take a sleep aid I wake up every few hours. Its been that way since I had babies. It sucks. Then I can not make it through the day without a nap. I will literally go hiome mid-day, nap for an hour, then return to work. I can falls asleep really fast, too. It really sucks. So, I take a sleep aid almost every night. I try to not use them on the weeknds and nap instead.

I sleep 6-7 hours a night because I stay up talking to my husband. I think it is essential so that I don't become a single mom.

Right now I'm getting about 8 on good nights, which is what I need to feel half alive during the day. I make a real effort to force myself to bed by 10:30pm every night.

I sleep 6-7 hours (with interruptions) on a good night, but function best on 8-9. We have an infant and a toddler and sleeping 8 hours straight is a distant memory.

WOW what a bitch you are. Perhaps you should stop talking and listen a little more (or read in this case). You have absolutely zero idea why I'm a single mom. However, I can bet everything I have that I'm ten time more productive than you, which is probably the real reason you're staying up late.

I wake at 5am to exercise and my minimum is 6.5, but I can run on 5 if I get 8 the night after.

8 for me is huge.

Before I was pregnant, I would get 7-8 hours a night and 7 made me the happiest. Now... geez. I get 9-10 and wake up exhausted (I am 6 weeks).
