No if you watch the video. The video of the front angle of the car, you can see the she came within inches of hitting him. That was what he was responding to. The fact that he was probably already pissed as sh** at her, as anyone who was treated with such derision would be, certainly didn't help matters.

Why would moving forward and shooting someone with their foot on the gas be safer than just jumping back out of the way?

See, that is not ok. The use of lethal force by a law enforcement officer in retaliation for something is NEVER justified. If he was responding, then there is, by your own admission, no imminent threat.

Nope, but if they do something that you reasonably believe imminently endangers your life, and you have no other option, you’re entitled to defend yourself.

Moreover, if a patient has previously been abusive towards you, that obviously impacts a reasonable person’s assessment of what constitutes threatening behavior.

So while her actions prior to moving the car obviously do not independently justify the shooting, they actually are relevant to whether the shooting was justified.
