I don’t think a verdict that’s not in his favor would really bother him. He wanted a public trial to tell his side so from that perspective he will win.

Does he really think the studios will hire him after this? This case highlights how unstable he is and how clearly unremoreseful he is and how he's learned absolutely nothing.

I'd never hire a guy after watching this dumpster fire that, remember, he brought about.

He’s proving how popular he still is. The studios and streamers are in business to make a buck. He’ll get hired for something.

They were toxic together and they have brought out all that toxicity for the world to see. It's a 100% lose lose situation for each of them.

He's too fat to be hired in anything and she's just not good enough (I'm not going to mention her weight as that's been discussed at length here).

I am sick of the sight of the pair of them and I'm sick of this thread.

I wouldn't hire her either. One of the reason being that she's a truly weak actress.

This. She was in idiot to bring this on herself when she is guilty of the same actions she’s accusing him of because she has zero actual talent. It’s very clear she’s slept her way to all of her roles. Does anyone believe she would have landed Aquaman on her own without any association to JD?

You know she’s not the one who started this lawsuit, right?

DP - regardless, she still brought herself into this, calculating only the value of that article, but never a possible cost.

I suppose you are right, she should have realized that Depp was still the same sick, abusive piece of shit he always was, and he was never going to give her a moment of peace until she was dead.

Not even when she’s dead since he also said he would then want to f#ck get burned corpse to make sure she was really dead.

Correct.

This trial brings to light that they're both mentally ill with behavioral issues. Since he's been dragged through the mud for years, what he gets out of it is to prove she wasn't an innocent victim, but more of a co-perpetrator as well as victim, just like him.

How long is this trial gonna go on? Does it really need to be this long? I'm sure these celebrities are going nuts having to be in this area for weeks on end.

I think this supposed to be the final week. Let’s hope, because this trial is an offensive waste of judicial resources.

There are many grotesque possibilities in the actors and screenwriters minds, but the reality is: she would have been left alone, if only she didn't attempt to continue profiting off this marriage, even after they'd divorced.

What makes you think that?

AH’s side only has 4 more hours. They’re supposedly going to bring JD back to the stand, presumably for another chance at a “gotcha.” JD’s side has 16 or so hours left, according to a court reporter tweet from yesterday. Should 99% wrap this week.

There’s video on Twitter of her acting like a loon during the late night line at the court house.

Seems like she could be one of the nutty DCUM posters.

She said he tossed the bottle across the room, not at her. She didn't help AH's side.

she said that 20-30 yrs ago he was an unstable alcoholic, jealous and tossed bottles
and look! in 2013 to present, he is an unstable alcoholic, jealous and tossed bottles

I don’t get how or why they contacted her considering they dates 30 years ago for a few weeks. Did they go through a list of old girlfriends asking for dirt or who’s still upset he got away?

I think Johnny's a mess, and that his lawyers are doing a simply awful job here, but I don't think that Ellen Barkin was such a great witness. If was a juror, I'd think -- this guy is 60 years old and has dated a lot of woman. The only woman they could find to say something bad about him was someone he dated 20+ years ago for a couple of weeks, and even SHE says he didn't hit her? That, to me, would lead to an implication that the defense lawyers had talked to all the exes and they all supported Johnny. I would have thought it was better not to put her on at all, then to put on such a weak witness.

I’m not a fan of AH but after seeing these lawsuits, why do you suppose no exes are talking bad about him? He’s still holding the purse strings for Vanessa and the adult children despite Vanessa’s money. He’s also proven to be vindictive. I’m not surprised they are supporting him to keep the crazy at bay.

This makes no sense. He has dated far more women in his life than just his ex-wife. Ellen Barkin was the best AH’s team could do in terms of finding one of dozens of women he’s had relationships with to speak ill of him. It wasn’t a win for them.

Kate Moss is going to be a witness for JD’s side and she certainly doesn’t need any help with the purse strings. Neither would, say, Winona Ryder or Jennifer Grey, both of whom have supported him. On the other hand, a quick look into AH’s relationship history reveals a very different pattern when it comes to dv allegations.

Jennifer Grey clearly wrote he is violent. Perhaps they are scared? They see how he has demonized AH and do not want the same to happen to them. After all, most praised Harvey and he was a rapist pig.

I missed that! Will look. I saw she was quoted as saying that JD was “so beautiful it was inhuman,” as well as more directly about her thoughts on the trial: “But from clips or things that I've come across, I don't recognize the person. It's nothing to do with anything that I've ever experienced, and it makes me sad. I don't understand what's going on, and I just want everyone to be okay."

Seems pretty clear that, though sad and confused, she didn’t experience this “side” of JD. Don’t really think they’d be scared at this point given pretty limited, if any, repercussions for expressing disapproval. But could be interesting to see Kate Moss zoom in on weds.
