I could see how a thrown bottle might crush, but not slice. It just doesn't add up.

If bottle cracked on a ring. Heard testified he always wore big chunky rings on his fingers. Or, if bottle cracked hitting something, then shard sliced it flying in air.

Good for you all to have skipped one of life’s most painful cruelties, but wow the disbelief and lack of compassion that is engendering makes me almost wish it on you.

Omg that guy was amazing!!! Hahahahaha

What were his crazy mouth movements when he was asked about Willie Wonka?? I'm still laughing. The judge had to tell him "yes, you have to answer the questions."

I thought he started out strong but then ultimately blew his own credibility trying too hard to "beat" the lawyer on cross.

I can’t understand why Heard’s team picked him. He was a terrible and combative expert which didn’t help her case. At least find someone who doesn’t act like they have tardive dyskinesia

He actually testified that he came to an “expert opinion” based on analyzing depp’s performance in “pirate” movies and then that he knew absolutely nothing about acting. What in the world. He was an insult to whatever his field of expertise is, and her legal team insulted the entire legal process, and absolutely let down survivors everywhere. Outrageous!

He did not say this! And this is a perfect example of how Depp’s lawyers and the media use snippets out of context. If you haven’t watched or listened to the trial in its entirety, you are not a reliable source.

The Deppford Wives lie so much. It’s really strange. I’ve never loved anything as much as they love 90s and 00s era Johnny Depp.

np, he did say many things similar to what pp posted. You have to listen to the cross. He guessed and assumed many things about JD and acting, then admitted he didn't really know. He forgot that he called JD an idiot in his deposition.

New poster. He didn’t call him an idiot. He said it would be an idiot thing to do to fly in for a deposition without having time beforehand, which was what he thought depp was doing. It’s not like he literally called him an idiot. I’m not a fan of this witness but don’t make things up to make him look worse.

"so I mean he's an idiot" was read from his deposition

Yes. And his expounding of his answer and putting it in context makes sense. I’m not a fan of his, but once he explained it, it’s not like depp’s lawyer cross examined him more on the point. Meaning: depp’s lawyer agreed it was more a comment on an action being considered not wise versus calling someone an idiot. Not the same thing. It’s like saying “dumb choice” versus “dummy.”

She said he tossed the bottle across the room, not at her. She didn't help AH's side.

she said that 20-30 yrs ago he was an unstable alcoholic, jealous and tossed bottles
and look! in 2013 to present, he is an unstable alcoholic, jealous and tossed bottles

I don’t get how or why they contacted her considering they dates 30 years ago for a few weeks. Did they go through a list of old girlfriends asking for dirt or who’s still upset he got away?

I think Johnny's a mess, and that his lawyers are doing a simply awful job here, but I don't think that Ellen Barkin was such a great witness. If was a juror, I'd think -- this guy is 60 years old and has dated a lot of woman. The only woman they could find to say something bad about him was someone he dated 20+ years ago for a couple of weeks, and even SHE says he didn't hit her? That, to me, would lead to an implication that the defense lawyers had talked to all the exes and they all supported Johnny. I would have thought it was better not to put her on at all, then to put on such a weak witness.

I’m not a fan of AH but after seeing these lawsuits, why do you suppose no exes are talking bad about him? He’s still holding the purse strings for Vanessa and the adult children despite Vanessa’s money. He’s also proven to be vindictive. I’m not surprised they are supporting him to keep the crazy at bay.

This makes no sense. He has dated far more women in his life than just his ex-wife. Ellen Barkin was the best AH’s team could do in terms of finding one of dozens of women he’s had relationships with to speak ill of him. It wasn’t a win for them.

Kate Moss is going to be a witness for JD’s side and she certainly doesn’t need any help with the purse strings. Neither would, say, Winona Ryder or Jennifer Grey, both of whom have supported him. On the other hand, a quick look into AH’s relationship history reveals a very different pattern when it comes to dv allegations.

DP. Two points:

First, a lot of time has passed since he dated Winona Ryder and Jennifer Grey. He has gotten older, and has abused a lot of substances during that time. Abusive people are not necessarily abusive to people their whole lives, so that he didn’t abuse the 30+ years ago is not particularly relevant to whether he abused anyone in the last 10 years. This is particularly the case with people who have substance abuse problems, because that kind of habitual drug use causes changes to the brain that can affect behavior, impulse control, etc.

Second, as a general matter you cannot use prior acts to prove or disprove whether someone engaged in a different bad act. Something else has to make those prior acts relevant to the present matter. The only reason Kate Moss is being allowed to testify is because Amber Heard mentioned the past rumors of Depp pushing Moss down the stairs, and frankly, I think that was a very questionable decision by the judge to allow it. Heard didn’t affirmatively testify that Depp pushed Moss down the stairs, she referenced the public rumors of it to explain why she hit Depp when she saw and angry Depp move toward her sister at the top of the stairs. I am not sure why Ellen Barkin was allowed to testify, but I assume there was some similar door opened. But neither side d Cz an parade all of their or the other’s past partners into court to prove or disprove abuse between Depp and Heard.

Jennifer Grey clearly wrote he is violent. Perhaps they are scared? They see how he has demonized AH and do not want the same to happen to them. After all, most praised Harvey and he was a rapist pig.

JD clearly testified that he never hit anyone in his life! But, we have taped with Letterman where he says he hits people, demolishes rooms, and was arrested many times.
Was this presented as evidence of his character?
He has no problem lying, but let's rip AH to bits for not being a perfect little wifey?

It is a little off putting how smug he and his attorneys are, eating gummy bears and laughing at witnesses, without a care in the world in Johnnys world of fans and groupies. I predict the verdict will wipe the smile off his face.

I think he will lose his defamation case, but she’s likely to lose hers too, and having a public trial is enough of a “win” for him. Scorched earth.

I don’t think a verdict that’s not in his favor would really bother him. He wanted a public trial to tell his side so from that perspective he will win.

Does he really think the studios will hire him after this? This case highlights how unstable he is and how clearly unremoreseful he is and how he's learned absolutely nothing.

I'd never hire a guy after watching this dumpster fire that, remember, he brought about.

And maybe those women were truly in love with JD and have respect for him and their former life.
No one needs to demonize AH. She is who she is.

I wouldn't hire her either. One of the reason being that she's a truly weak actress.

This. She was in idiot to bring this on herself when she is guilty of the same actions she’s accusing him of because she has zero actual talent. It’s very clear she’s slept her way to all of her roles. Does anyone believe she would have landed Aquaman on her own without any association to JD?
