YJ’s have 10 23 commits. I would say that isn’t too bad for a 2 1/2 year program. But this isn’t a Club thread. Back to Regionals. |
Battlefield looked pretty sharp at times last night. #21 had 15 draw controls sophomore was balling it out. Surprise in Colgan comes on Tuesday. First time in awhile teams never met in regular season. |
You seem to have a lot of time on your hands if you’re reviewing capital girls recruiting placement for the last 2-3 years.
Maybe get a hobby. Crocheting, beanie baby, collecting, mountain, climbing. |
Calm down. Someone already did the work in the recruiting thread. They just cut and pasted to defend their weaker clubs. |
21 really needs to develop her left hand to be a real threat. Great player but take away her right and she is irrelevant. |
You’ve just described 99.9% of high school lacrosse players. |
She actually effectively cuts left when being overplayed to the right using her quickness and does a nice job of protecting the ball and drawing fouls albeit her right hand. Agreed she will need to utilize her left hand. She is only a sophomore so she has all year to work in this progression. Cougars will need her to step up going forward. |
That is pretty good! Congratulations to YJMA. Keep up the great work! What are the 10 colleges that the 23s are committed to ? |
Agreed with PP that #21 is a slid player, but cant do much when you take away the right hand. She's young and will continue to enhance her skills. But also agree that Oakton will be meh or below average next year as others stated. Face guard and limit #11 and #4 and then put pressure on their lefty feeder #5 and you completely destroyed the oakton offense. Let me re-phrase, hold #11 and #4 to 2 goals each.
Same thing with Madison as they have many talented players, but one player is sort of the quarterback of their offense. Shut her off and you will limit their production, although Madison may have a more well rounded offense than oakton. Should be a great game friday night and all of this speculation is easier said than done when it comes to game time, guess we will wait and see what happens. |
Easier said than done. I would think Oakton and Madison will both game plan for this. Comes down to the players executing their plan and goaltending will be paramount. As always winning draws and ground balls will be the difference and who just executed more. |
Oakton, Madison = not good next year Poll! Poster is from where? |
Vienna Rec pipeline has always been strong therefore Oakton & Madison will always replenish. You want to make high school programs stronger? Invest time and development on the youth level. |
oh my goodness. Who knew grown men cared so much about girls lacrosse?
Loser parents. 😀🤣😂 |
Who invest a lot of money in the game. So don’t make stupid comments young one. |
You mean the grown men who introduced their daughters to lacrosse to build confidence and learn all the life lessons sports helps with, then dedicated tons of time and money to help them pursue their dream of making H.S. varsity and playing at the next level? Yeah, we care. |
