I think she would prefer the prestige of being BRF in cold England than having to earn a living in Montecito. For literally anyone else, of course freedom and nice weather and wealth is better. But for a certain kind of person, fame and status (why she keeps using HRH and Duchess of Sussex here in the USA where no one GaF) are more important. |
Simpson struggled with finances and loss of status due to the scandal. Fergie had to sell herself as a chubby person for WW because she was bankrupt and in a number of financial scandals, plus her ex and tie to the BRF is a lying pedo. |
Yes, and William will probably strip the titles when he is king. So she has to make the most of the title while she can. That's my point. |
Fergie and Andrew have essentially no income and are both broke. Their “scandals” have been mostly generated by their attempts to use their connections to make money. By all accounts, Andrew treats her terribly, but allows her to stay because she’s the mother of his children and has nowhere else to go, and they are both squatting at Royal Lodge and praying that Prince Charles won’t have the nerve to have them physically hauled out kicking and screaming. Even Wallis Simpson didn’t think her story had a fairytale ending. They lived in France because the French gave them a house to live in for free, and they socialized with a motley group that included other disgraced people like Oswald Mosley. |
You are talking past me. You’re a lost cause. You only hate these people. |
I honestly doubt William will do anything about it. Stripping the titles would bring so much attention to them. It would be a win for the royal superfans but to most of the world, it would just seem petty. Harry will always be connected to them as the King’s son and future king’s only sibling. No letters patent could change that. Any positive story about Harry (like Invictus Games) would then have a negative spin for the BRF as it’ll say “formerly known as” and go into how/why. William seems to just ignore Harry’s existence and that’s probably the best strategy. Harry’s biggest sin here is whining about being treated poorly as spare. If Andrew hasn’t crossed the line to have his titles stripped, Harry sure hasn’t. |
The title thing will never happen but it gives gossipers something to talk about that’s in the future. Last year a presidential candidate said he’d consider deporting Harry. When it came time to actually do it, he said lol nah. When William doesn’t, maybe George will. |
The brother of the future king is not a title or position. And they won't be connected in any way because they are not going to be invited to any events in England, except maybe Charles' funeral. Even then they will be isolated from others because Meghan cannot be trusted not to film the family for personal gain. |
+1 she has already threatened them. In the Cut interview she said she “didn’t sign an NDA.” That is a direct threat to her in laws and is just another reason for them to continue shunning her. |
Well Harry just lost his final appeal in the security case. So they won’t be going back to the uk without 28 days notice if they want security. |
Duke or not, we all still know they’re related. That’s the connection. |
I love the hidden camera/microphone conspiracy theories! |
It’s sad Harry’s kids are being completely isolated and stripped of their British culture. They are growing up without any extended family and without growing up with the kids of Harry’s childhood friends. They are being raised completely American. They will never be able to go back and fit in.
That is the reason they might lose their titles. If something were to happen to William and his kids, Harry and his kids would not be popular enough to rule and the British monarchy in all probability would end. |
William and George aren’t allowed to travel together anymore in order to keep the direct line intact. Anything that would disrupt the LOS all the way down to Harry would be a much bigger problem for them than just “Harry is unpopular.” |
I had not thought about the situation with their kids as they get older.
If I were them I would be worried about my kids resenting me for keeping them from knowing my cousins and family or even experiencing royal life. I guess it would take some serious bad-mouthing from my parents about them from the beginning to prevent that. |
