Aren’t all recruits on the chopping block until you sign the letter of intent?

LOI says how much scholarship money player will receive in exchange for attending the college for 1 academic year (not one season). Not needed if playing college sports but not on an athletic scholarship. For D1 and D2 only

They are but hard to flip players that have been committed since sept 1 at other schools. Will see how many they get.

And a lot of “verbal” commitments are murky on that point. School locks you down with no real commitment on their end. This is no headcount sport. I’m sure COVID making it worse with 5th and 6th years.

The National Rankings came out and its a joke that Yorktown doesn't even get an honorable mention. Elitist bs. https://www.insidelacrosse.com/article/inside-lacrosse-top-25-high-school-power-rankings-final-edition/58127

Why would Yorktown be in the honorable mention? All the teams up there would beat them by 15. Yorktown isn’t even better then riverside.

😂 Yorktown isn’t even in the top 100.

How is it elitist. Yorktown is one of the richest and whitest schools out there. It’s located in one of the wealthiest areas in the whole dmv. There’s more diversity at private schools like dematha, Gonzaga, sjc , and pvi. Stop crying about rankings. You don’t have the talent to compete against real competition.

Ty putting Boys Latin ahead of SJC and Prep. Lol. Gotta front for Bmore. Tides are shifting and the top DC area schools are stronger than MIAA. Taft would kill Boys Latin. US Lacrosse rankings don't include schools like Deerfield where kids already graduated high school.

USA Lacrosse is right not to include those teams in their HIGH SCHOOL rankings. If you already graduated HS and are still playing HS lacrosse then your team is not really a HS Team.

IL should follow their lead.

These are also final ‘21 rankings. I would expect SJC is number one for ‘22 pre season

Let's check out the data:
Yorktown: 65% white, 15% Hispanic, 6% Black, 6% Asian, 6% multi-race
PVI: 66% white, 10% Hispanic, 5% Black, 10% Asian, 7% multi-race

It's funny that you're talking about being elitist and "whitest" when talking about lacrosse.

While I agree with you about not including the Big boarding schools from up north that bring in between 4 - 7 post graduate players in a given yesr, let’s not forget several of the privates in the DMV have several seniors who have reclassified or even double reclassified.

Bullis best player who is a 2023 has to leave Bullis after the spring of 2022 because he is too old to play in the IAC in his senior year.

Prep admitted an Episcopal transfer for their 2023 class this summer who has already played 3 years of HS ball (one year at Landon, two years at EHS) and has reclassified twice.

Is that the breakdown of the school or the lacrosse teams? I'm not sure what you are trying to say other than those schools look not too dissimilar to the rest of America:

There is an elitist attitude within lacrosse when it comes to private vs public and that has ZERO to do with race. If you got a race issue to peddle I think you should get steppin to another forum.
