Most have congratulated all schools when they have had very successful championship programs/teams. That has been the community we live in.

NO ONE has ever done what Hayfield did this year for football in any sport, ever, at an FCPS public school. To encourage the transfer from one county to another of 24 student athletes to participate in one sport in the same school year is disgusting. To have moved the Director of Student Services to another school when that person began to see what was going on is evidence enough. There is SO much shady business that has gone on and been reported about, it’s no longer funny.

Whatever the temperature of the community is currently, it is the direct result of the actions of those 24 families/players and the coach, DSA and principal at Hayfield High School. They have earned all the criticism with this issue and should man up and look at themselves before defaming others with BS race comments meant to deflect from the real issue that they all where involved in this cheating scandal. They will never admit to it and will continue to deflect away from their lack of moral character.

There will be an * next this team for many years to come and they have earned it. Good luck in the playoffs to all.

Those kids were leaving Freedom regardless. They weren’t staying. They followed the rules of the VHSL and FCPS by moving into the Hayfield zone.

Can you explain the van taking kids back to Woodbridge?

Someone said it and ran with it, but again folks are going to believe what they wish

It has been verified by the Fairfax Times.

BS. The Times didn’t say that. They may have said that was alleged.

Yes, they did. You Overton boosters are pathetic. You back a cheater. I feel for your children. They have terrible role models for parents.

And your Orange President?

The comical lack of self awareness you demonstrate is shocking. I have to imagine the overlap on the proverbial Venn diagram (look it up) between Overton supporters and Trump supporters is pretty significant. Both Trump and Overton are liars, cheaters, thieves, criminals and abusers. Decent, intelligent folks who voted for someone other than Trump would never support a disgusting criminal like Overton. They're cut from the same cloth.

My unmelaninated friend. You are dead wrong. But line up the opponents. And watch Hayfield knock'em down. That is, if they choose to show up. LOL.

First, I am Black. Second, you are comically ignorant. Also, no intelligent adult uses "LOL." Finally, the fact that you support a liar, thief, criminal and abuser like Overton is beyond sad. I hope you do not have children. If you do, they are worse off simply by having you as their parent.

You can be all you can be online.

This is not normal, and it reflects just how poorly FCPS is being managed under Reid. The School Board may have extended her contract but others are finding ways to send their votes of no confidence in her decision-making.

Nobody cares about 6 irrelevant teams. If their coach thought they had a chance to win, they’d play. Guarantee that Madison and Westfields have no intention of forfeiting any games.

Any serious coach, is going to prepare his team as best he can and compete. If you lose, that’s part of life. This will be the last game some players will play in their lives. Let them enjoy the experience.

Any real coach and high school doesn’t have to bring in 24 recruits in order to win. That’s who showed he was scared when this all started in the spring. He was afraid he couldn’t coach up the players at Hayfield and win. Cause he HAS to win now and big to feel good. So please stop with the rhetoric that everyone is afraid of you because you are some amazing program. They just are calling out the obvious and blatant truth that you can win without recruiting.

Shame the guy for not coaching a losing team. Maybe eventually he’ll show how good a coach he is by coaching a losing team.

The players, Overton, Hayfield, and FCPS want a championship. That’s what the goal is. The haters will just have to get over it.

Good for City of Fairfax School Board- who met and they fired Blankenship law firm and no longer using Cafferty. Take notes, FCPS, that’s how to make right decisions.

Any source for the City of Fairfax letter?

City of Fairfax also sent separate letter to FCPS School Board. How embarrassing when another district sending letter on how to do basic governance.

The irony of your comment is lost on you. God these Overton backers are such feeble cucks.

And only people whose lives are comically empty care as much about high school football as Overton and the parents that blindly follow him around. God I feel bad for their kids.

Exactly, they want a championship and they are willing to get it by subverting the rules and breaking laws (yes, lying about being homeless is a violation of the law). And you refer to those who see the obvious problems with this as "haters."

God you are pathetic. Don't procreate.

Its nice to see the coaches and Fairfax City school board standing up for what's right.

No, wrong. FCPS leadership does not care about football championships. What they DO care about is covering their own behinds and they do NOT want to look like they were in the wrong all along.

Lots of kids have been injured by the hayfield team. I believe a Lewis kid left in an ambulance.

But hey, anything for a blowout.

That’s messed up. So kids injured who would otherwise most likely not be injured because FCPS is allowing Hayfield to cheat.

Yes. Three kids were injured in the Chantilly game as well and could not play the rest of the season.
