NO ONE has ever done what Hayfield did this year for football in any sport, ever, at an FCPS public school. To encourage the transfer from one county to another of 24 student athletes to participate in one sport in the same school year is disgusting. To have moved the Director of Student Services to another school when that person began to see what was going on is evidence enough. There is SO much shady business that has gone on and been reported about, it’s no longer funny.

Whatever the temperature of the community is currently, it is the direct result of the actions of those 24 families/players and the coach, DSA and principal at Hayfield High School. They have earned all the criticism with this issue and should man up and look at themselves before defaming others with BS race comments meant to deflect from the real issue that they all where involved in this cheating scandal. They will never admit to it and will continue to deflect away from their lack of moral character.

There will be an * next this team for many years to come and they have earned it. Good luck in the playoffs to all.

Those kids were leaving Freedom regardless. They weren’t staying. They followed the rules of the VHSL and FCPS by moving into the Hayfield zone.

Can you explain the van taking kids back to Woodbridge?

Someone said it and ran with it, but again folks are going to believe what they wish

It has been verified by the Fairfax Times.

BS. The Times didn’t say that. They may have said that was alleged.

Yes, they did. You Overton boosters are pathetic. You back a cheater. I feel for your children. They have terrible role models for parents.

And your Orange President?

The comical lack of self awareness you demonstrate is shocking. I have to imagine the overlap on the proverbial Venn diagram (look it up) between Overton supporters and Trump supporters is pretty significant. Both Trump and Overton are liars, cheaters, thieves, criminals and abusers. Decent, intelligent folks who voted for someone other than Trump would never support a disgusting criminal like Overton. They're cut from the same cloth.

My unmelaninated friend. You are dead wrong. But line up the opponents. And watch Hayfield knock'em down. That is, if they choose to show up. LOL.

First, I am Black. Second, you are comically ignorant. Also, no intelligent adult uses "LOL." Finally, the fact that you support a liar, thief, criminal and abuser like Overton is beyond sad. I hope you do not have children. If you do, they are worse off simply by having you as their parent.

Venn diagrams. Oh, you smart. I learnt how to cipher them in kindee-garden. What a confederacy dunce you are (look it up).

God you are thin-skinned. It is obvious I am living rent-free in your head. You can't even respond with something witty (although I bet you and your knuckle-dragger friends thought your comment was witty). How pitiful.

More feeble attempts at wit by feeble humans. Unsurprising coming from the Overton lot. He can barely construct a cogent sentence.

It's high school football, everyone. Relax. Open a cold one. Let the players figure it out on the field. And when the season's over, its's over.

Anonymous wrote:What happened to the money?

Tens of thousands of dollars raised on a non sanctioned money platform, collected outside of the FCPS booster system by a FCPS employee with zero oversight and accountability.

How is Reid not addressing this???

Anyone who has worked on any sort of FCPS activity or sport fundraising, from football to marching band to choir to science olympiad knows how strict FCPS is when collecting money from students via booster fundraising or ticket sales.

This part has to be publicly addressed by the school board. It is a flagrant abuse of power that directly gives a middle finger to fundraising protections that are enforced by FCPS in every other club and sport, except apparently, Hayfield football.

Because like most of the rumors circulating, this is not true. Unless of course you want to investigation the 30+ other schools in the state of Virginia that used the exact same platform for fundraisers this year amongst multiple sports this past fall. I've seen at least 7 other schools that have posted pictures with the BIG CHECK from the same fundraiser. Another school (in FCPS) posted pictures for their Football, Volleyball, Boy Volleyball and Cheer teams fundraising efforts using the same vendor.

Much like VHSL, you can't prosecute on your feelings and heresay. Facts actually matter

You don't know how to spell "hearsay." Where did you get your JD from? God the Overton backers are pathetic.

Also, the platform (MoneyDolly) wasn't the problem. The problem as the original poster who brought this up noted "The company that Overton hired for the above-mentioned 'fundraiser' is run by his friend and isn't registered to actually collect funds in VA." Seriously, sit this one out.

So you think the platform, MollyDolly, that hundreds of other schools/sports utilize in the state of Viriginia was utilized legally by every other department in Hayfield and every other school in Virginia BUT Overton chose to use it illegaly. Like you said, sit this one out. lol

It was stated in an article that it was Cash app not MoneyDolly. I’m sure they used that as well but it said the team mom with no kids on the team was collecting money to be sent via Cash app or cash handed to her.

According to a source, a collective of FCPS teams/student athletes plan to present a resolution and are considering a boycott of the VA6A playoffs if Hayfield remains a part of them.
Updates to come @fox5dc

Thanks. Yes, Chad Ricardo is covering the story tonight. He should have updates in minutes.

That guy is a joke.

Why no updates yet on board meeting or was it a closed meeting and so no one knows?

The Hayfield team is much bigger than normal FCPS teams because of recruiting. What is someone gets hurt? Most teams don't have a bunch of huge players that were recruited.

Lots of kids have been injured by the hayfield team. I believe a Lewis kid left in an ambulance.

But hey, anything for a blowout.

That’s messed up. So kids injured who would otherwise most likely not be injured because FCPS is allowing Hayfield to cheat.

On the same day that Michelle Reid showed up at Glasgow to tout their “transformational” boundary review study very few have asked for, coaches from six schools informed FcPS that they are considering foresting upcoming playoff games to protest Hatfield’s flouting of VHSL rules and the City of Fairfax sent Karl Frisch a scathing letter attacking FCPS’s failure to have previously commissioned an independent and thorough third-party investigation of Hayfield’s conduct.

This is not normal, and it reflects just how poorly FCPS is being managed under Reid. The School Board may have extended her contract but others are finding ways to send their votes of no confidence in her decision-making.
