It's bizarre to cling to the titles and use a crown on your personal stationery when you have denigrated the monarchy. |
Even the title of this article is a lot - https://people.com/meghan-markle-says-harry-slayed-the-dragon-saved-the-princess-for-their-marriage-that-man-loves-me-so-much-11724669 |
He cannot. It must be an act of Parliament. |
This is weird. She’s kind of acting like she got the fairytale and it’s over….. marriage and raising a family is a long haul and I truly wish them the best but it’s kind of weird to be like we have two beautiful, healthy children and a great marriage… OK talk to us in five years and then again in 10. They seem like they are in it and committed and I’m sure they will be fine but it’s just a little weird to say this so publicly when you haven’t even known the guy 10 years. |
Eh.. whatever. She reminds me of Fergie or Wallis Simpson. High drama, falling out with the royal family, goes on to live a happy life capitalizing on her marriage. Glad she’s happy, hopefully she can stay low drama and just quietly drift off into influencer land |
He can strip the HRH on hod own when he becomes king. Queen Elizabeth stripped Prince Andrew's HRH without an act of Parliament. |
Ehh... kinda. QEII stripped Andrew's HRH in the same way she stripped Harry and Meghan's - kind of but not really. They all "agreed not to use them" but it's not an actual legitimate law or even letters patent. And even if their titles were stripped, Harry would still be Prince Harry and Meghan Princess Harry but even if their "HRH" titles were officially removed, they'd still be (as they are supposed to be now) The Duke and Duchess of Sussex. |
Not legally. Meghan Markle’s entire life seems to be governed by SEO, not by being a jam-maker or a podcaster or a philanthropist. There’s a reason there’s always ‘news’ about her in places like People. The idea that her dim husband had to ‘slay dragons’ for her is hilarious, given how much she and the dope cling to titles in a country where the Constitution forbids recognition of same, and who despite all of his whining and how little he’s done in his life with all of that money and opportunity and fleeing to ‘freedom,’ it is very evident that they named their kids in a sketch way and pouted about titles because those silly things mean everything to them. |
I’m surprised at how important the titles are to them, and that she would privately use the HRH title with her friends. But then again they are not the most self aware people to realize how ridiculous holding on to British royal titles sounds when you live in the US. It’s very important for her that everyone thinks she’s happy, and she very well may be as she pursues her “creativity.” But there is no way Harry, who spends his time fighting for security to spend extended periods of time in the U.K., is happy in Montecito. |
The funniest thing to me is that there are many, many articles that have been published referring to her as Meghan Markle that then get changed to Meghan Duchess of Sussex. It actually kind of floors me that they do stuff like that with their titles and then have the audacity to release a TV show that denigrates the colonialist roots of the RF. The hypocrisy is the most annoying thing about them. |
No, it doesn't. Some of you are really nuts. |
There was a paparazzi video at a movie premiere where Meghan and Harry are saying goodbye to their friends and one curtesys to Harry, he bows to say thank you and they both laugh. I get the feeling that their friends tease them about it, and this was her playing along. But I’m of the opinion that MM isn’t an evil psychopath. |
I would like to see a spinoff starring both Meghan and Hilaria. |
Their friends might tease them about it, but it is clearly very serious to Meghan as a status indicator. Her most important accomplishment is to be "Duchess of Sussex" (in Montecito which makes no sense). She knows she will be completely shut our once William is king so she's trying to make the most of being Duchess of Montecito while she can. |
You're using Fergie and Wallis Simpson as examples of people who "go on to live a happy life?" Really? I'd say you don't know much about either. |
