They have retained players which is a plus. However, they are not attracting outside players and their coaching has not improved. So whatever their teams are at U13 is what their team will be 90% of moving forward. They will fail to add new talent and their coaching is not up to the challenge of helping the current kids make the next step. In short they will remain at or slightly decline due to other club teams improving overall. |
| they are doing a "virtual" camp so they are inviting at least double the amount of kids they usually do |
Loudoun Soccer is contempt by bringing dollars in. That much is clear. It was no surprised how the Spring 2020 was handled and how they explicitly stated they “would not survive another closure”. Luckily for them (the 5-6 individuals bringing home 150-180k) there was no closure last Fall. That being said, all you need is to see their training sessions in person and hear their players speak out outside the club environment. |
| What were the scores ? |
| FCV lost 100-0 in all age groups |
| This thread has clearly been infiltrated by immature youth players or mad parents. I don't have a horse in this race but clearly FCV is the real deal. Between Fox being selected as the NWSL 1st pick and the 04 05 group sending three players to the YNL training, FCV is doing something right. No other local club comes close to matching that record. |
As a Loudoun soccer dad I have admit this is true. There’s no denying it. And I hate to say it because of all the back and forth between my club and FCV. Nonetheless I will not be sad if my DD ends up leaving. The last 3 years have been a massive disappointment and a complete downhill with no brakes regarding club organization, communication and coaching - or lack thereof. |
| FCV has an uphill battle being on the GA platform going forward. No reason for top players to leave for FCV from other clubs. |
Lmfao. You think FCV made Emily Fox? Or do you think Emily Fox played at FCV because they were one of two ECNL clubs in the area and it happen to be the one in her backyard? It’s absolutely absurd that these clubs claim the greatness of their players. These club benefit from having a good name and having good kids flock to them. |
If FCV was a European club and NWSL was a European league FCV would have been compensated for Emily Fox. Yes, clubs get credit, and in the rest of the world, actual money for developing players. |
Are you ignoring everything referenced above? Clearly, parents want there kids to play for the type of club that sends players to the YNT and produced the best college soccer player in the nation. |
|
Sad that both Pipeline and FCV both have players being represented...both clubs are shady at best on how they recruit players.
Politics is a big part of who gets selected for Camps. Some Clubs/Directors are much dirtier than others. There is no reason why those two players should have been selected over at least 15 other in Maryland and Virginian I will say FCV runs a distant second to Pipeline in this competition, but FCV still plays dirty... |
Not Pipeline dad, but those 2 players are REALLY good. None comparable on any 05 teams that I've seen play. |
The YNT camps are largely a popularity contest these days so I don't put too much stock in those. Nevertheless, the players you mention did not develop within the GA platform. PP was simply stating that is harder to develop this class of player in a league with inferior competition. |
Pipeline's players have been at the club since u9/u10. FCV has had those players for several years. Both clubs deserve credit. Stop with the insanity. |
