No, just women who have high-pitched or oddly modulated voices. There are plenty of women in the entertainment industry who have wonderful, pleasant voices; it's their job, after all. Most politicians and other professionals who end up on public display have never had professional voice training or worked with dialect coaches, hence the broadcast of ear-grating screechiness. I have the same complaint about so many podcast hosts, male and female, who never learn how to speak sonorously. |
Well meant, but painful to hear.. (Happy go lucky? Yikes.) — AA adoptive parent. |
Yeah, picking on her voice is unnecessary and misogynistic. Let's pick on her horrid views, cult background, and lack of experience. It is gross how she uses her children as props - we have had multiple judges with school-aged children on the court, including Biff Kavanaugh. How odd that we fixate on her like a modern-day Ceres. Tacky and sexist - and her use of such imagery is uber-tacky and sexist. |
PP here, I know and I hate this criticism, but her voice is grating. High-pitched or something? Maybe it's just me |

Repulsive? LOL. She didn't say what this twitterer claims she said. Watch the clip. And, she went on to say.... Barrett added that historical parallels were an imperfect way to evaluate current dynamics regarding the Supreme Court, saying that "the reality is, we live in a different time." "Kennedy was confirmed unanimously. So, incidentally, was Scalia. And this is not the time we live in now. Post-Bork, you know, confirmation hearings have gotten far more contentious," Barrett said. "I think, in sum, the president has the power to nominate, and the Senate has the power to act or not, and I don't think either one of them can claim that there's a rule governing one way or the other," she added. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/amy-coney-barrett-supreme-court-2016-interview-confirming-justices-election-year/ |
OMG. Enough about her voice. |
| She's more than qualified. Kagen was never even a judge. |
... and had argued numerous cases before the court ( and won) |
| I hate how she describes her son with Down syndrome. |
