There are plenty of women in the entertainment industry who have wonderful, pleasant voices; it's their job, after all. Most politicians and other professionals who end up on public display have never had professional voice training or worked with dialect coaches, hence the broadcast of ear-grating screechiness. I have the same complaint about so many podcast hosts, male and female, who never learn how to speak sonorously.[/quote]
