| I am going to add my 2 cents because I was actually at the fair when this event happened - though I did not witness the actual incident. Just an hour or so earlier, three teens - who could very well be the teens in the incident- were harassing people in the household building- taunting some of the older women working the book give away, being vulgar, asking for a dollar, etc. I told them to F off and walked away, because it seemed to be teens egging each other on - trying to get a rise out of people. Just a lot of testosterone and bravado. Same teens? Maybe - maybe not. Couldn’t tell from the video, but there was a least one group that could have easily been the ones responsible for this mess. |
Do you have any proof of this? Or are we just supposed to take your word for it? |
|
Video is on twitter. There are a number of people standing around and nobody helping this guy even after he is hit. White people.
The witnesses are saying he started it by Name calling and spitting on one of the kids. At this point race trolls on both sides are out. Even on here. I’m taking a breath. Sure they’ll be more video, witnesses of what started it , or others that were injured of that was what was really happening. Please put the racist code words down. |
Wow, I wonder if there is security footage of them doing that. If it's the same group of kids, and it may not be, but IF it IS the same group - those kids were looking for trouble and you are lucky that they didn't attack you. This could have happened to anyone at that fair. |
The police report indicates that the attacked was UNPROVOKED. Apparently the "witnesses" who heard those racist statements were nowhere to be found when the cops where there asking people what happened. why is that? |
I have no proof it was the same group. It could be completely unrelated. It was very crowded (because of fair day) and I swear every person in Frederick county was there that afternoon. I did watch the video to see if I thought they were the same group. The kids in the homestead building were shirtless- the kids in the video were not. And there was not a girl with them, at least at 4 or so. But there were teens amping up the drama at the fair that afternoon and that atmosphere could have easily set other events into motion. The energy at the fair was definitely different - off this year. And I haven’t ever encountered teens being blatantly taunting before - usually they are not hanging out in the 4h or baked goods competition, so that struck me as odd. I guess next year having a parent or guardian present should be required for anyone under 18 to get in on Fair day. |
You should really contact the state’s attorney. The prosecutor said in a press conference today that these boys asked the victim for a dollar before the attack. Please contact the authorities with your information. |
| News is reporting they punched him after he wouldn’t give them money, so in line with what PP reported seeing above. |
Yes please contact investigators |
Or attempted robbery with assault and murder. Going to be a long time before they go to the fair again. |
| Instead of yelling f*** off, maybe one should alert an officer about this behavior? |
I certainly hope you are right. |
There was a ton of security at that fair. Was security allowed to escort the kids out for being obnoxious? |
Murder charges is what should happen. What is there to even argue about? |
I don't really care if someone calls you a n...., you still do not have the right to TOUCH them in any manner. Jesus, wtf is wrong with you people. Sticks and stones, remember? Words can hurt, yes, but to kill someone over a word, any word, is ludicrous and those of you defending this should be ashamed of yourselves. |
