3.5 and 4 year olds not potty trained...how did that happen?

No amount of bribes or frequent trips to the potty make a difference. It’s so incredibly stressful and I’m tired of wasting our weekends to work on it.
And he’s been sleep trained and sleeping through the night since 1 so no issues there. I just have a stubborn 3yo!

It’s perfectly normal for some kids to take a little longer to be ready. No reason to feel bad about it. Kids grow up too fast, just enjoy him being little while it lasts.

Thank you for that. He’s a sweet kid and my youngest/last child so I do want to enjoy it all!

It really doesn’t matter at all when a kid is done with them. I know several people who’ve waited to potty train because they weren’t ready and it’s much more convenient to just change a diaper than having to take a child to the bathroom every hour.

Oh OP. MY DD was trained before 2.

She breastfed until almost 3, and we still cosleep often (she’s almost 5). Judge me, and leave everyone else alone.

As a public preschool teacher I imagine it sucks when you have 16+ kids and even 3-5 aren’t potty trained and they take big dumps at school in a diaper lol.

Accidents happen. Part of having kids.

Preschool teachers are essentially glorified babysitters. If you don’t like it than you should find a different job.
