Does anyone know about NCCIH at NIH? I’ve been trying to reach a former colleague there.

Several of their offices were wiped out. Look at the threads on Reddit/NIH.

I am so sorry. There is a special place in hell for everyone who perpetrated this.

So much of this expertise took decades to assemble but is being wiped out in a few weeks. Those responsible for this debacle are traitors to our nation.

It's heartbreaking. People will die due to this expertise being lost, and the elected officials do not care. Just take Vitamin A for your measles and call us in the morning.

I don’t believe so as our property guy is still around but it could be at an IC and not OD.

The Expert Who Kept Eye Drops From Blinding You Was Fired Yesterday
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and the so-called Department of Government Efficiency terminated thousands of experienced public health professionals in an April Fools’ Day massacre. We’re all about to pay the price.

“That was always the plan,” he said, referring to fixing mistakes and the Department of Government Efficiency’s approach to making federal cuts. “Part of the DOGE—we talked about this from the beginning—is we’re going to do 80% cuts, but 20% of those are going to have to be reinstalled, because we’ll make mistakes.”

My friend works at a lab and they ordered them to euthanize all the laboratory animals. She's really upset about it because it erases years of work and means all those animals died for no reason.

It's ok, they'll just reinstate them ... wait a minute ... yep, they're dead

Just read very disturbing published news. User fees are at extreme risk. FDA may be dead in a matter of weeks. If that happens it will be catastrophic for biotech and pharma. Mass layoffs and FDA may basically cease to exist. No one will be left to monitor for food and drug safety.

The NIH Property Management Branch in OD was untouched. But some PCOs around NIH were apparently RIFd.
