Yes, a couple starters from last years varsity team from Hayfield still start this year

Less than 5 real Hayfield players start total (offense or defense).

The coach does not play the enormous bench. That doesnt help "his" kids stats and highlight reels.

There are actually 9 “real” Hayfield players that start tot.

The coach does play the bench, they run the score up and put in the rest of the team. Majority of the JV team plays during the second half of the game.

This is all not true b/c I have been to the games.
What is verifiable is that non-Hayfield players like the QB andr the coach's nephew are running up stats like 5 touchdowns or 280 yards in one game. Not possible if they are sitting on the bench the second half cheering on "JV players."

They aren’t Hayfield players? They sure are wearing Hayfield uniforms, home addresses are inside Hayfield boundaries, and attend school at Hayfield.

Nope.

I’m sure he plays the bench when they’re up by 50 points. Why would any team leave their starters in that long? That’s when you start pulling from the
jv bench. That’s coaching 101.

Not this guy. He doesnt consider himself the coach of the Hayfield team, only the coach of "his" players. He wants to boost their stats and get them clips to show recruiters.

That’s just not true. This “guy” brought a lot of exposure to “real” Hayfield players. When he first came he had brought a couple Hayfield players to the University of Maryland for a visit.

You sure seem to know a lot of insider information. Are you the coach?

News outlets were posting that local families were being paid to have their addresses used for registering students

Not according to an observation posted by a parent in the thread that was deleted. Even if that was true, then your point is that with 22 starting positions, only 9 of them are real Hayfield players? Do you realize how absurd that is?

And does that parent have a child on the team? There are 9 real Hayfield players in starting positions, there are another 3 who are rotation players

If you look at who Hayfield plays it is very possible to run up these stats while on the bench second half

The Varsity roster is HuGE. Why would a coach sub in players from the JV team? He would not.

The varsity roster is huge BECAUSE of the JV team.

No one, especially colleges, care what your kid or any others say. But thanks for sharing.

Good colleges won’t consider prospects from teams tainted by a cheating scandal. Maybe colleges that are desperate for football players, but no respectable ones.

Sure, Jan. You sound ridiculous.

This is true for high school teams in the DMV. This Hayfield football parent is actually telling the truth on this particular matter.

Its easy to compare rosters from last year and this year. The names of the many transfers from Freedom, various private schools, Fredericksburg, Arlington and whatnot are public knowledge.

Yeah, their parents moved into Hayfields boundaries. Some may have done so for their kids to be nationally recognized football program, but nonetheless them attending Hayfield and being a part of Hayfields football program is permissible under Virginia High School League rules and FCPS rules.

Hayfield has a winning season. Just get over it!

Why were so many kids ruled ineligible by VHSL?

How many kids claimed they were homeless?

No official from VHSL said any kids were ineligible. Stop making up the lies.
