2025 Girls Lax WCAC + ISL Outlook

Agree on top 8 for this year. Also agree O’Connell will give the top 4 in WCAC closer games than in years past. They are slowly closing the gap between the top 4 and the rest in the WCAC

No one is going to O’Connell for lacrosse. Soccer maybe, not lacrosse.

Tier 1 of the combined conference rankings: Number 1 and 2 are clear and in the correct order.

Tier 2: Numbers 3-5 could finish in any order and no one should be surprised. I would have put Potomac first in this group at #3.

Tier 3: Also agree with this grouping. SJC may overtake BI, however. PVI is 8.

The PP who put all WCAC teams at 5th or below does not appear to know much about GC. Overall, the ISL does look to be stronger in 2025. That may shift a bit in 2026.

Think you’ll are underrating SJC. They are better than BI easy and will likely knock out at least one of the other teams listed above them. New coach and they have a good amount of talent even with the graduations.

They said same thing about Field Hockey 4 years ago and O Connell is now one of the top teams in the area. They have a good coach and are starting to get some talent. All it takes is a couple of good players each year and the gap closes. That’s why it’s amazing that KJ has been able to keep SSSAS near the top for so many years

Hilarious. Good one coach

What talent have they gotten? I don’t know any kids from the top clubs going there. Why don’t you lay the facts out

They have 3 Capital players on O’Connell. They also have some good athletes filling in the other positions. Not enough to break top 4 but enough to keep the games closer. Just saying they are up and coming and to not discount what this coach is doing for the program.

SJC weight room work (on social media) is impressive. Good for that team lifting together at school. Chemistry will be strong and the commitment to getting better is showing. Those facilities look amazing.

As an SJC parent, I would have thought you were more familiar with your child's school facilities.

Oh, sorry. I bet you are going to respond that your child doesn't go there and that you just follow the social media of the schools of other people's children. No, it must have come up in your feed.

To be honest I believe the ranking your talking about was meant to be "wrong answers only"

They have 3 D1 commits. More than PVI.

Not all D1 commits are equal some get zero money and are full pay because mommy and daddy can and they will never touch the field...
