Has anyone gotten MCAP reports from 2023 testing?

Anonymous

The letter was dated October 2023–can’t believe it took MCPS six months to mail it.

Helpful in what way? What changed for you kid or in what their doing in school since you received the report?

DP and not poster above PP.
"Helpful in what way? What changed for your kid or in what they're doing in school since you received the report?"
Let's see, if that parent and other families had received reports 6!!!!!! months ago, then perhaps we would be able to say "what changed for kid" or what needs to change for kid in what they're doing in school. Pathetic, MCPS.

Huh?????

Looks like poster was correcting your words above. Get rid of the tests if results are meaningless. Advocating to eliminate tests should be the job of those hired to work at CO.

We received ours for our Middle Schooler, but not for our High Schooler. Maybe the High School ones will be mailed with next year's results.

Same. I think my 6th grader is taking MCAP again soon? I guess at least we got these scores before he takes the next one.

MCAP is going on now until the end of next week. Then it’s MAP.

Why are they testing if results are meaningless? Spend classtime on more pertinent instruction instead.

Clearly MD doesn't think the results are meaningless.

I did not post the above. I just couldn't figure out what the PP was trying to say.

Why doesn't the top part on back page of math report not give breakdown of math areas/categories, as the ELA one does - Reading and Writing. Math used to have categories on reports years ago. Or are we among the ones whose they forgot to include the breakdown on Page 2 when they were fudging the scores?

Not sure it matters.USPS only delivers half of the mail these days. It's fallen on hard times since the Trump administration put their people in charge.

Then MCPS should just upload them to parentvue. Problem solved.

No math breakdown here too. So don't know if Larla did well in a certain match concept or better in another.

Did you get yours this week?

Still have not received them.

Do HS students in 10th-12th take MCAP?

Received for one kid.
Received results one year after sitting for hours over 2 weeks.
Why couldn't MCPS, or the state, or school just place results on PVue instead of mailing the results?
