Katie.sold Pride to Ultimate Lacrosse. Its not hard to connect the dots, they are in every state up and down the Atlantic, except Virginia. Come this summer, the Pride identity will be erased. It won't even retain its identity like VA Metro when it did the exact same thing with 3D.
Don't believe me? Ask their new Exec. Director. |
A parent volunteer was going to coach the girls through NGLL. Katie had a new head coach lined up. A not yet college grad who Katie said played at VT for four years. A quick google of the coach showed that was a lie. Katie didn’t tell the parents about the fired coach for a week. Then told the parents via email that was the plan all along as she switches coaches every 2 year. This coach had only been there a year. No one knew about this coaching policy Katie had, no even long time Pride parents. When Katie heard players were planning on leaving. She contacted the teams parents were taking to and threatened to sue them. Parents started leaving after this with no refunds for them. Those that stayed but chose not to accept her offer to play on another pride team and did not accept got a partial refund. The club is going downhill. You do not get what you pay a lot of money for . She is a liar and an untrustworthy leader. Agree with whoever said Pride will combine with Katie’s new club, ultimate lacrosse. |
Business records seem to suggest Katie Kate sold Pride to Ultimate, and then became its Executive Director and changed the registered business location to the same address in Northern Virginia where Pride is registered? |
Seems more likely that Katie bought Ultimate? |
I have been with Pride for many years and have never heard of this coaching policy. In fact my daughter has had the same coach for well over 2 years. You never see A team coaches getting swapped out unless the coach leaves. I agree with prior posters, it seems once the summer tourney season is over, the Pride girls will be getting new uniforms. |

Truth:
https://www.bizapedia.com/va/ultimate-lacrosse-llc.html https://cis.scc.virginia.gov/EntitySearch/BusinessInformation?businessId=11410682&source=FromEntityResult&isSeries%20=%20false Katie has been sitting on this for over a year and has not said a word to Pride players or parents |
| Oh wow! Good for KM. |
| I don't think it really matters what club the jerseys say on the front - Pride, Ultimate, the Pink Ladies, etc. The product we're paying for (and it's more than every other club out there) needs to be good. My daughter plays for Pride but the majority of her training comes from other sources. Pride is just the tip of the iceberg. It begs the question, what are we getting for our money? I would like to see the club dues go down (could cut in half) so that money could be used for the additional training that's needed to keep up with the other top players in the area. I'm basically paying twice?!?! Seems like a racket to me. |
Agreed. 4 square is a joke. I understand the concept of doing drills, but one day a week is not going to make that much difference. The girls realize this and attendance is pretty low. The actual team coaches don't seem to care about it either as playing time is not affected one way or the other on if you attend or not. |
Serious question, what are the Club fees for the year? Even ball park? $3k, $3500, more? How many tournaments does that include, include uniforms etc? |
Almost 4k. 4 NGLL games 3-4 summer tournaments. DOES NOT include uniforms and you have to pay for your pinnies. No player swag etc. |
Then you add travel and in high school they go to the President's Cup which adds $1500-$2000 for that weekend alone. |
Thanks, that is crazy high. The baltimore clubs are 40% less with more tournaments and uniforms (home/away) included plus practice pinnys, practice uniforms. Lots more included for less $$$ |
| Throw in the optional "outdoor winter league" for $400? That's where Stars has the advantage - nice and warm in the St. James. Who wants to play outside in December/January? |
I can't remember exactly what the cost of my kid's pinnie was but I want to say it was 44/46 bucks. It's a rip-off. |
