What we need is a society that stops glorifying violence and hatred.

The “society” we have is the society we have so maybe we should start legislating based on reality, not on kumbaya rainbow dreams.

If we are glorifying violence and hatred maybe we should stop making guns so readily available on top of that.

Countries that have appropriate gun control do not have disproportionate crime. In fact in many it is the opposite.

I don't know what kind of gun was used, but we should ban all but a basic one for self defense. Though I wonder how it's common for Texans to have guns, but you don't read of mass shootings down there.

Apples and oranges. Do you really think that if you impose some type of massive gun control that the United States is suddenly going to turn into Switzerland or Denmark or New Zealand? Those are wonderful places but they simply don't have to deal with the same underlying issues of criminal behavior that we do.

criminals don't listen to any laws. So, should we just do away with all laws?

The vast majority of the mass shootings occurred with a legally bought gun.
