Buffalo Mass Shooting

Our fricking country! Mom runs out to the grocery store to buy milk and gets blown to bits. Times thousands. Year after year after year.

And we shrug and move on.

Yeah no. Wrong.

Fentanyl is gutting our country.

But rifles? You are more likely to get clubbed / beaten to death, then shot with a rifle - including every single type of “assault rifle” combined.

It’s exceedingly rare.

The thoughts and prayers apologists are out in full force defending horrible gun laws and radicalized white men. Disgusting!

Unfortunately, this is the America we deserve. Until white men and women stoping voting for trash heap GOP candidates, we will continue to drown in the bloodshed caused by gun violence.

As time goes on I am more and more convinced that we don’t need gun laws - we need the total repeal of the 2nd Amendment. It’s been bastardized to the point of fanaticism.

All firearms should be made illegal.

I agree. I never thought I would but I definitely do now.

And Democrats don’t!?

No. This falls on the GOP and POSs like Tucker Carlson pushing lies and white nationalism.

No. It doesn’t. Nothing happened under Obama and Sandy Hook. The Dems are now in control. As they were then. Nothing changes. Only a fool says thus is GOP driven

The GOP and two Democratic Senators blocked every bill brought forward to further firearm control and safety. President Obama did everything he could with EOs.

Get your facts straight. This is on the Republicans head.

Republicans block common sense gun laws.

Republicans push white nationalism.

Republicans are destroying our country.

We have to ban firearms. Seriously there is no other solution. We’ve been dicking around this topic for way too long.

If the 2nd Amendment actually intended to protect private ownership of firearm (and that is debatable) we have proven we cannot handle it.

Ban them all.

The black guy who ran down people in that parade in Milwaukee. It doesn't matter what race. I feel bad because I am human and I empathize with anyone who's life is now over and will never see the light of day again. To never be on the outside again is to never fully live again. I feel because I cannot imagine spending the rest of my life, especially at age 18, in prison. That is hell to me. So this empathy comes out of wishing these people made better choices and did not commit the acts they did.

This empathy can happen at the same time as hating what they did and fully supporting the victims and victims' families.

These people are so wrapped up into a mindset that they lack the self-awareness of how ludicrous it is. That's what kills me. When you hear interviews of people who used to be white nationalists talk about it after the fact. And you just wish all of them could escape it before it's too late.

There is sadness for everyone involved.

Nope, I don't care one whit about any of this trash.

He killed a bunch of CLEARLY elderly women (I know there were others). I mean these women were 77, 85, etc. You hate Ms. Pearly? REALLY? You went and mowed down people you knew couldn’t fight back.

Do you really think firearms would magically disappear if your envisioned ban ever went into effect?

What we need is a society that stops glorifying violence and hatred.

At 18, especially after being brainwashed and bought into an ideology, you don't realize how your life will now be over. You don't have the benefit of 40-yo you saying, hey dude, this isn't worth it. No one wants to be in prison for 70 years.

He totally understood his actions that day. Not excusing that. But just think back to the dumb stuff I did at 18 and not realizing the potentially long-term consequences of those things.

It's OK to have these feelings for the perps. As long as your feelings for the victims are 100x stronger.

You feel sorrow because you think his life as white male had more potential and promise and value than those of the elderly Black people he killed. You hate seeing a white boy’s life destroyed by his own actions more than you hate seeing an innocent Black person’s life taken by his actions.

I’m OK with it.
