He confessed to being a sex addict and went to rehab. I don't think he is/was ever satisfied with any amount of it. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-election-weiner/anthony-weiner-checks-into-sex-addiction-rehab-clinic-daily-mail-idUSKBN12Y006

Her desperation to be in the limelight and rehash all of this with a book tells us she's still the same angle playing, attention craving, and status-obsessed creep she's always been. Unreformed.

And since you all keep talking about it, she is not attractive nor elegant. And she has immense personal baggage. Rich high status men don't want some 45 year old train wreck. If she wants to bag a rich guy, the best she'll do is an old boomer. And I don't say that being mean, I personally know a handful of divorced single mums in their 40s who've settled with men in their 60s and 70s.

It seems obvious Anthony was tweeting at random women or whatever because he was in a sexless marriage. Even rich boomers don't want some gen X bore who doesn't put out.

He was behaving like that before he even met her and then after. He is as weird as he looks.

She looked beautiful on the Today show.

I remember listening to Dr Laura with my mum growing up and the first thing she’d ask female callers who suspected or confirmed their husband was cheating was “are you being a good wife” as in, are you putting out and are you a nag (I think she even used the b-word but I could be wrong). I used to crack up because nearly all of the callers would admit they were in a sexless marriage and nagging their husbands before he cheated.

I really don’t get why the woman is blamed here.

There is a true-to-life vast rightwing conspiracy, funded to the tune of a billion dollars by Scaife and Bradley and others over 15 years, to destroy HRC and people like Abedin.
NY FBI wrongdoers worked with Giuliani to leak the email news, illegally. Chaffetz publicized it. Illegally.
All of this is funded by rightwing billionaires.

And all we can do is criticize Abedin? Give me a break.

I think Amal has a raging eating disorder, and I say that as someone who is quite thin myself. I haven't seen too many recent pics, but in some older ones her knees were wider than her thighs and her arms looked the size of a chubby newborn's. No muscle tone whatsoever, not a "I watch what I eat and workout" kind of body, bordering on emaciated. One pic in a cropped top she had a totally concave stomach with hip bones jutting out about 3 inches like my anorexic roommate who couldn't sleep on her stomach because it hurt and she would bruise. She was also a normal thin weight pre-Clooney and dropped a ton of lbs, which is unusual for someone to do mid-late 30s. We'll never know and it kinda doesn't make a difference, but for people who don't value being as absolutely skinny as possible, I can totally see Huma hitting a better balance of attractive than someone who looks ill.

Dr Laura also had no patience for couples living together or “shacking up playing house” with no ring and no date having any issues. You jogged my memory of her show and her predictable responses.

My mom used to call her Dr. It’s Always the Woman’s Fault.

That's good advice.

Since this is Entertainment section, I guess that commenting on looks is appropriate. For me, its not about that at all. It's about the bolded. I think someone upthread used a term that included "striver" in a derogatory way. I think that's a pretty accurate view of how many see her.

Agree. You get nothing out of it if it ends.

Good interview on 1A today with Huma. She sounds like someone who worked hard to stay in the background who is finally taking control of her own story. Good for her.

Ew- she and Weiner are two of the main reasons Trump won. I saw her interviews-- the ugly looking witch is now playing the victim.
