The White Lotus season 2

Albie and Portia are both naive suckers and I’m glad Mike White drove that point home at the end so we don’t have to rehash the conversation about how deluded and naive Portia’s worldview is relative to Jack’s.

Another point about Jack is that in this whole thread no one mentions he’s a victim when he clearly is either a victim of a predatory older, privileged man or a victim of child abuse or both. A lot of untold demons in his closet that he’s trying to drink away.

It’s funny that the only true friendship in the show is between Lucia and the piano player. Cameron and Daphne seem like they actually like each other but their friendship is too twisted.

The “you f your uncle?!” and Tanya telling the captain the gays were trying to kill her in vain were hilariously cringe.

Great ending to a great season. This is the best show of the past 10-15 years.

Who looked like him? He was gross and a drunk! No thank you!

Now we’re going to act like this guy isn’t attractive? He looks like a young, more athletic Damon Albarn. No one who looks like Portia is going to pull someone who looks like a 1990s Calvin Klein model in the real world. Please.

Uh no, he was not attractive to me at all.

Great ending. I thought the piano man was going to take out Mia. But I loved how it ended.

My take away was that Ethan and Harper were shown that they are not so unlike Cameron and Daphne. They both cheated but look how happy they were in the Airport waiting for their flight. It took both people in the elation ship cheating so that they could find happiness in their relationship.

Portia needs to decide if it’s worth it to speak up

Yeah, if Greg doesn’t come to Italy, the case may not go far, and the US would likely not extradite him. Portia has been sufficiently scared. If she’s smart, she will go back to her boring life and not get involved in any way. The police will not make the connection that one of the many pictures included an old picture of her husband.

Maybe with phone records etc, but from an outsiders perspective, it may not be clear what happened on the boat. They may all have been killed by someone else. They were all seen having fun together the past few days.

+1 The actor might be, but that character? Run.

There were 2 survivors on the boat, the captain and Didier's boyfriend. They will likely have something to say.

How many times was Greg married before he married Tanya.

I think Jack saved Portia’s life. He was probably supposed to kill her

Three. Tanya was the 4th

I think so, too. But geez I was worried for Portia for a while there.

He didn't strike me as a killer, just a hustler.

Yeah, it was. She was so flustered. There were a million other choices she could have made, from tying the rope to the banister to finding a ladder but, I mean, as a woman her size (though a bit younger) you do start to feel a bit less agile as the years go by. Jumping off of a boat and then climbing into another isn't an easy feat.

It’s just too sad she doesn’t know boats have doors and layers and a low deck in the back. she didn’t even hit her head on the way down.

Yeah. I thought maybe she’d pop up because her head didn’t hit the boat. I didn’t want her to die

She did hit her head. There was a distinct clunking sound. That’s why she drowned—she was unconscious.

Anonymous wrote:Loved that episode! Great ending written for Tanya. Quentin and crew got what they deserved. Too bad Greg gets the money now.

Maybe the will and trust go to something else. Why would it be your latest marriage partner of a couple years?

So unless Greg gets the video, no witnesses and presses the prenup adultery clause to get half a billion $$$ who knows.

That’s not how prenups work. They protect the one with money.

Why did she get in the car with him? When she had the bad feeling, she could’ve just bolted.

They deserve each other, both morons 😂

Exactly. They are both suckers. Dim attracts dim and live blissfully unaware.

I feel like this is going over everyone’s heads —

The theme of the season is suckers and exploiting others — and Ethan is the MAIN sucker. Harper was manipulating him like Megyn Markle manipulated Harry. Toying with him, pressing his buttons, poking his insecurities, tug and pull until she has him wrapped around her finger. And the finance sociopaths successfully corrupted him, so they can land a chunk of his cash and extract management fees. Ethan was being played from every angle.

I feel like this is just your opinion and I disagree with you.
