Trump sees it as useful because he's obviously going to lean heavily into his bullshit narratives of "fake polls by hateful left wingers, we have the real numbers and they show 95% approval ratings" and then when Republicans take a shellacking in the midterms mirroring Trump's awful ratings he will say "see, this only proves that the Dems rigged and stole the elections because these ballot numbers are obviously fake because everyone knows the real approval numbers are 95%" Complete derangement. But yeah, run with that, see what it gets you. Note that if Republicans try to steal the midterms it will get ugly. And forget about Trump 3.0. Instant recipe for civil war. |
Trump doesnt try to claim election fraud unless his name is on the ballot. If Republicans get wiped out he’ll just claim it’s because he wasn’t actually running. |

“A recent Yahoo/YouGov poll has found that 40% of Americans now consider President Trump to be the “worst president in U.S. history.”
Another 12% think Trump is “worse than average” — meaning that overall, a majority of Americans (about 53%) now rate Trump as one of the least successful presidents ever to hold the office.” https://www.yahoo.com/news/politics/article/poll-how-many-americans-rank-trump-as-the-worst-vs-best-president-in-us-history-201110993.html |
| Enten: "Trump's net approval rating. Look at the pre-SOTU polls. Look at that -- negative 27 points! My goodness gracious. Compare that to where he was in 2020, 2019, and 2017 -- minus 10, way lower now. The bottom line is Donald Trump has never been weaker going into a State of the Union." |
That’s depressing as hell. It should be 85%. |

From the Marist survey released today:
“Trump's overall approval rating remains low at 39%, with 56% disapproving, and a whopping 51% strongly disapproving. That's the highest Marist has seen in its polling since it started asking how strongly respondents approve or disapprove of presidents dating back to 2017. "The thing in the numbers that we've been experiencing is the shift among some of the folks who voted for him — his voting coalition — not necessarily the governing support he has, but his voting coalition," said Lee Miringoff, director of the Marist Institute for Public Opinion.” His voters are deserting him. |
| Cue the end of Marist polling, LOL. |
