I think Susan Rice is smart and equipped, but I’m not convinced any of that actually matters since America has devolved to a sad, scary place where rich celebrities can buy an election.

So, I wonder if Biden’s people are chatting up Jay-Z, Beyoncé, and Oprah? Anyone else who should be on the black billionaire celebrity short list?

Steve Harvey, Dave Chapelle

That worked so well for Michael Bloomberg, didn't it?

What Mike did was brilliant and don’t you ever forget it!

By the way. If Mike were running now, please believe the polls would still be trending in favour of the Dems. Probably moreso, especially given the state of economic and public health. Just saying.

That said — Biden2020! DumpTrump, whooo hoooo

Her father is a decorated veteran of WWII, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Her family history dates back to the American Revolutionary War. She herself is a decorated veteran who devoted 22 years to the military and lost her legs in combat. If Trump tries to make light of her heritage or her family history, he's done. He's barely hanging on by a string now and that is because of the hardcore Republicans. If he even dares to question the birth or worthiness of a decorated combat veteran with much deeper family ties to this country than he himself, it will only seal the landslide. He already has much less support from the military than just about any other Republican candidate in the last 50 years. He could go down as the only Republican to completely lose the military vote.

He's probably not that stupid, but you never know.

I don't care, do you? I don't think it matters. VP picks have not historically had much of an effect.

Except, this time the one at the top of the ticket is Joe Biden.

Any of the names floating on this thread is better than Trump.

Where have you been for the last 4 years...heck the last 12 years if we add on the Birther claims. Trump doesn’t care if it’s true he wants a hook, a sound bite and I cringe writing this but your are going to hear all about the China Duck...heck might even get a Kung Fu Duckworth. Her mother was Thai but if Chinese heritage. Doesn’t matter if she is a decorated war hero. His core base is white resentment and they will eat it up. Women with a high school education or less is the swing....don’t count on them reading up on the technical definition of US Citizen.

It is astounding the difference 5 years can make.

He'll regret it if he does. His family has only been in the US less than 150 years. Hers' has been in the US for nearly 300 years. Yes, he'll have solid support from his base, but the decision to try to alienate a decorated war veteran who can trace her American roots to the American Revolution will not add any votes and will only alienate military families. Many of them already feel deserted and abandoned by this president, to the point that you have dozens of retired officers who have abandoned their traditional silence on politics to come out and denounce the president for not siding with the military. And if he alienates active military, he'll have problems breaking 40% of the final vote. It's just going to add on to all the other political disasters that he's inflicted on himself over the last 9 months or so.

If a sitting US Senator is unable to come out and say, "Of course it is not OK to wipe away monuments honoring George Washington," then she should not be serving as a senator, not to mention VP.

Instead she panders to the far left wing of the Democratic party.

This is evidence how a Biden administration will kowtow to the far left extremists in their party.

It's not. Biden in fact has been extremely careful not to say things like that. And the fact Duckworth fell for this stupid trap is evidence she's not ready to be VP.

But you know that, dumb troll.

She said there should be a national conversation about the fact that some of our founding fathers were also slaveholders. How is that not a measured response?
