Susan Rice has what none of the other candidates has. She has a relationship with Biden. She spent eight years working closely with Biden to find solutions. I’ll take bets her son will have lost confidence in Trump with this COVID mess and will support his mother. Just another turned voter.

What does Duckworth bring to the ticket that others do not? Or what does Dennings bring to the ticket? Or anyone else? They are all smart women who are viable VP candidates but I can’t see Duckworth adding a lot of votes. Biden already has a family Military connection and draft dodging Trump didn’t get the votes of the Military who might be in Duckworth’s camp. She doesn’t pick up a swing state. I’ll give her youth. If Trump is going to run on “law and order” than Dennings has a unique appeal because she was law and order. Ofcourse, some sweet that as a con but I really can’t see those protesting police brutality and being called demeaning names by Trump as voting him. She also helps with a key swing state. Rice has Biden’s confidence and the relationship so there is no lag time. She also has experience being the voice of a national campaign and her foreign experience is desperately needed since we are best buddies with Putin and managed to piss off every one of our supporters. Harris has schmooze appeal but that’s about it and doesn’t help with a swing state. Biden’s wife has probably already crossed her off the list. So....who gets Biden elected?

Duckworth embodies what the American dream is to many Republicans including many Trump supporters: the child of a first generation immigrant mother who served honorably in the military and can speak about her heritage and her country honestly, but proudly and unashamedly. If you buy into the misconception that the 62,984,828 Trump voters are all secretly racist and think America should be all white with no more immigration ever, you are deluding yourself.
