I’m just reading off of their site but I imagine it holds true.

All of the PWSI travel teams have professional licensed coaches (very good ones). The classic teams are a separate program not related to the travel program.

Well if looked at that way it’s wild they barely have any NCSL representation within their travel program and they rely on the classic program to handle that.

the classic teams are travel teams. They play in NCSL.

If they don't at least have a coaching license or are in the process of getting just their D license, then they are either brand new to coaching or probably don't know what they are doing.

Teams in higher NCSL divisions are not just people who stepped in to coach. Lower divisions, yes but higher divisions are experienced coaches.

the issue is that PWSI's classic teams (which seem to be less professionally run) play in a league against other teams that ARE professionally run and professionally coached at the higher divisions. Therein lies the problem.

That’s my feeling as well. Considering it seems like their ECNL-RL 08G team should realistically be in NCSL but for whatever reason they can’t find players to create more teams. Maybe the culture inside PWSI needs a change to be more inviting and try to be more inclusive rather than exclusive. Not like they’re fielding these ultra competitive lower tier teams to be exclusive.

PWSI has been having ID’s over the last 2 weeks. Lots of players from the classic teams in attendance. The culture is plenty inclusive. These comments are from people that are not in the club.

It is not a lack of inclusive it is a lack of interest. There were 2 teams on the “higher travel” team before VDA. The 08G NPL and the bridge “Red Team”. The Red team was not any better than the classic team and some players moved from the Red team down to classic. Why pay more for the same product? The remaining NPL players that did not make VDA know they cannot be competitive in RL just by combining with the Red team. The Red team cannot even handle NCSL div1. Before the Red team became RL they were in NCSL div1 and did not do well.

PWSI 08G Classic finished 2nd in NCSL div1 Fall 2020 but lost 2 players to the RL team this Spring. If you look at 08G classic team’s history, they have always been competitive. RL cost $2K while the 08G classic cost $700?

Define 'lots' for me. And if you're on the inside do you not agree with previous posts? FWIW when I ask about what your definition of that is I ask only because I heard only 3-4 girls showed up for the ID session.

These could be comments from the VDA parents. How do you pretend that players go back to the ECNL-R. They will be leaving. Perhaps. former VSA are okay going back to VSA.

08G classic seems somewhat competitive. I don’t think they’re open to players though as most classic programs aren’t run in the same manner as the ones that would be offered by the club. Typically classic programs/teams are formed from solid recreational teams from what I’ve seen.

08G pride is another story. It looks like they switched divisions in NCSL last year possibly due to not being able to compete in the higher one. That’s based off of a post way back.

Not always. My kids finished top of D1 with a parent coach a couple of years ago.

If a player moved to VDA and was then offered to not stay and go down to ECNL-R who failed who...

VSA is dual rostering 3 09's this spring to try and stay competitive in 08 ECNLR.

Right the VSA team was able to keep on. Not all players wanted to move to VDA because they didn’t like to coach.

PWSI 08G Classic: I believe they already have 18 players roster. They may be open to add if the player can help the team otherwise taking on more players with a full roster for an unpaid coaches is a bit much.
