Biden's VP?

I'm really liking Duckworth. I hope she's as good deep down as she appears to be on the surface.

Her husband, also a vet, comes across as very calm and thoughtful as well. Bet he'd make a good Second Spouse!

Tammy D out with another op ed:

So on this Fourth of July, let's remember that fighting back against injustice isn't just the right thing to do, it's the most American act imaginable. Our nation was founded by a group of patriots who refused to blindly follow their leader—and 244 Independence Days later, it's only by continuing to speak truth to power that, someday soon, we may all live free in that more perfect union envisioned by our founders.

Eminently qualified but I think she'd hurt the ticket in swing states.

I agree, even if Joe would like it to be. I'm feeling increasingly confident it will be Tammy Duckworth.

I am too. She’s really putting herself out there with a higher profile. Seems very likable and “no nonsense.”

Whoever it is, s/he must be more popular than Kanye.

I think Susan Rice is smart and equipped, but I’m not convinced any of that actually matters since America has devolved to a sad, scary place where rich celebrities can buy an election.

So, I wonder if Biden’s people are chatting up Jay-Z, Beyoncé, and Oprah? Anyone else who should be on the black billionaire celebrity short list?

I’m liking her more and more too. What have you heard/read that makes you think it will be her?

She's getting a groundswell of interest from within the military communities I'm a part of. If you give active duty and retired veterans and their families a reason to vote for you, you cut part of the GOP's heart out.

She seems to be surging right now, has written three op-eds in the past month or so (one with Biden) and lots of media appearances covered on social media. WOC, has obvious appeal to swing state voters, brings few if any negatives to the ticket compared to most of the other prospects. I personally prefer Karen Bass, but think TD would be a smart, strategic pick. And yes her appeal to conservative-leaning vets would likely hurt the other ticket.
