This. Interesting that the PP neglected to mention the huge role Democrats play in this disgusting mess. |
Unfortunately, I think the only solution is to end all asylum processes. It's clearly rife with abuse. |
Because that’s not the way the law works, genius. That’s why the Democrats wanted to up the numbers of people to process them and send home all the people who are not truly asylum seekers, but the GOP doesn’t want to stop the flow of cheap workers who undercut American workers and they for sure don’t want bigots like you to have a reason to stop whining. They’ve got you right where they want you and boy are you happy to be there. |
It’s so incredibly sad that neither of you understands that it’s the GOP that is the cause of this. They won’t address it. They block all work on it. You are being used. |
Quit the gaslighting, skippy. Joe Biden's record on border security is horrendous. He has broken every record we have in terms of migrants, deaths, releases, got-aways, etc. etc. etc. Every damn record. And, things are NOT getting better. Our country cannot take another 4 years of this crap. |
Go Democrats!!!! Eliminate those Borders! Get rid of US Citizens working in the US
we dont need Democrats elected in office? 3 Supreme Court picks lost, lets go for 3 more lost. SAN LUIS POTOSÍ, Mexico — When President Barack Obama faced a surge of migrants at the U.S. border in 2014, he pressed Mexico to crack down. President Donald Trump did the same a few years later, threatening trade penalties if Mexico didn’t comply. Now, President Biden is also leaning on Mexico to step up its enforcement. But this country is struggling with a migration crisis of its own, as historic numbers of asylum seekers cross its southern border. As many as 6,000 migrants a day have lined up outside government offices in southern Mexico — some seeking refuge in this country, but many others headed for the United States. That’s up to 10 times as many as in the spring. https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2023/10/20/mexico-south-america-migrants-biden/ |
I cannot understand why Congress is considering a massive "border security" funding bill that does not include significant policy changes. Additional supplemental funding will not solve the border crisis, it will just make it easier for the Biden administration to manage the crisis its failed policies have created. This additional funding is intended to allow them to manage the situation better by processing illegal economic migrants more quickly so they can be released into the U.S. in higher numbers. Unfortunately, allowing illegal aliens to enter the U.S. more quickly will only exacerbate the problem by encouraging more illegal economic migrants to cross the border and make fraudulent asylum claims.
The best way to end the border crisis is to change the underlying policy. The House-passed H.R. 2, the Secure the Border Act, would make these changes and finally end the crisis at the U.S. - Mexico border. Every policy change enacted by the White House has led to an increase in illegal immigration and an increase of the chaos at the U.S. - Mexico border. Democrats - Please pass H.R. 2 to end the chaos and restore sanity and legality to our immigration system. |
GOP may not want to stop the pool of cheap labor but Dems are doing what they can to keep the barn door open. Americans are being played by BoTh PaRtIeS. Anyone with eyeballs can see that |
You know the GOP is desperate when they start trotting out the “terrorist caravan” trope. The real terrorists are right here at home, amassing arsenals and trying to destroy democracy. They are white and speak English, or whatever passes for English amongst them. They are your neighbors, they are your cops, and they might even be your friends. Terrorists all. |
Stop the crap. This isn't the GOP. This is border patrol. And, it isn't surprising at all. We have had over 1.7 million got aways enter since Joe was inaugurated. No idea who these people are, where they are, or what their intentions are. Our border is a national security disaster waiting to happen. |
I completely agree. Perhaps there could be exceptions for people actually fleeing war zones. But the current system of simply presenting yourself at the border is completely broken. |
