Biden's VP?

What Harris does best is that kind of one on one adversarial engagement, but her campaign went nowhere.

If he were smart, he would choose Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best because she has been the only adult in the whole Seattle debacle.

But, he won't because it will alienated the far left.

I just rewatched her questioning of William Barr, May 1, 2019. She’s asking him if the WH wanted him to investigate anyone. When I watched it at the time, I thought she seemed almost rude. Knowing more about Barr now, I see that she was not allowing him to run the encounter. She throws him off his game repeatedly. She’s a steely and talented interrogator. Props to Ms. Harris.

+1 Duckworth VP, Harris AG would be ideal

Another interesting article. Joe and Jill care a lot about relationships and trust. Jill has a longstanding good relationship with Duckworth, but also likes Harris's spouse and there is also the Beau connection.

I wish he’d just name someone already. He needs to build momentum and excitement. I’m voting blue no matter who; need a majority in the rest of the country to feel the same.

Nah, it's good for him to use this to keep generating press for the next month and it makes sense to time it closer to the convention.

Also gives slimy Republicans less time to make up fake attacks on whoever he does end up picking. Let them stew a while longer. Boil in their fetid broth.

Yup. And any one he picks is going to be a strong, smart accomplished woman and make Mike Pence look like the mediocre underachieving lapdog that he is.

Oh yes because local police chiefs are always a good pick to be VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. What?

Well we have a bankrupt faux billionaire reality star as President so that whole thing about experience being important seems to be long gone. But with stellar options like Kamala Harris and Tammy Duckworth available I don’t know why anyone would pick a police chief no one has ever heard of.

My top 3

1. Duckworth - picked her months ago. Woman, POC, Experienced, no one would dare question her ability to lead the military, the seat is firmly democratic, little controversy.

2. Harris- would prefer her as AG. Tied with Warren like her policies, but her seat risks being filled by a Republican.

3, Demmings- would prefer she could be useful on law enforcement reform taskforce.

My VP choices
1 - Duckworth
2 - Lujan Grisham
3 - Susan Rice

Other contenders I think would be better in other areas
Warren - Senate Majority Leader
Harris - AG
Demings - Director, FBI
Rice (if she isn't the VP candidate) - Sec State

My picks are similar:
1. Duckworth
2. Lujan Grisham
3. Bass
4. Rice

Agree Harris AG and Rice SecState, but think Warren for Treasury and Klobuchar for Senate Majority Leader. Doubt Demings is qualified for FBI Director, not sure what cabinet position she might be a good fit for.

Demings is Vice Chair of the Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism and Homeland Security. So maybe Homeland Security, if she's felt to be experienced enough?
