NO ONE has ever done what Hayfield did this year for football in any sport, ever, at an FCPS public school. To encourage the transfer from one county to another of 24 student athletes to participate in one sport in the same school year is disgusting. There is SO much shady business that has gone on and been reported about, it’s no longer funny.

Whatever the temperature of the community is currently, it is the direct result of the actions of those 24 families/players and the coach, DSA and principal at Hayfield High School. They have earned all the criticism with this issue and should man up and look at themselves before defaming others with BS race comments meant to deflect from the real issue that they all where involved in this cheating scandal. They will never admit to it and will continue to deflect away from their lack of moral character.

There will be an * next this team for many years to come and they have earned it. Good luck in the playoffs to all.

Those kids were leaving Freedom regardless. They weren’t staying. They followed the rules of the VHSL and FCPS by moving into the Hayfield zone.

Can you explain the van taking kids back to Woodbridge?

It’s just a rumor. Similar to the one about your mom on 14th street after dark.

1. The rumor has been substantiated multiple times meaning...it isn't a rumor.
2. I love how the comically unintelligent Overton apologists think grade school humor actually passes for wit or insults. The lack of self-awareness they demonstrate every time they post truly is startling.

Bad analogy I guess, didn’t realize your mom was really out there.

Ibid. Every time you post you prove me right. Overton apologists really are pathetic.

Yeah, except they didn't all move into the "Hayfield zone" so they weren't following the rules.

Also, several of them broke the law by claiming to be homeless. At this point I think they should be charged. That all parties involved have shown zero remorse for their actions is disgusting, from FCPS, to the Hayfield administration, to the negligent parents of the kids who transfered, to the coaching staff etc...

The allegations you make were proven false by the people of the commonwealth of Virginia.

No, they weren't. Seriously you should sit this one out, it is pathetic how little you know about all of this.

Well they are back in the playoffss

Committing fraud is highly illegal with jail time associated with it if found as a higher level misdemeanor or felony conviction. Maybe the Fairfax County DA should get involved, just to shut these people up. Overton cheated. 24 parents/player cheated. I would love to see these parents and administration sit in a jail cell for a little while and think about their actions. One school with shady intentions and individuals ruins a loved sport for 8 other schools within the same county. I hope the VHSL sticks to there guns and continues the ban. It just won’t be for this year. It would be for the next two years. The DSA and principal should be fired. For those that don’t know, the DSA is white and the principal in black. DEI firing. No one can complain.

Yea yea yea. Historically the white supremacists took out the white folks who weren’t helping enforce the system of white supremacy. John Brown was an example.

Que a Hayfield football supporter’s typical response, hence why this situation has gotten out of hand. Can’t wait for either Dec. 4th or the upcoming VHSL reforms that will place solid rules and stiffer penalties against cheating.

A third team Overton screwed over in just one season.

To be fair, he has screwed over 9 of the 10 opponents he faced this season, as well as his own program and Freedom's. But hey, he has to live vicariously through kids...

Um I don’t think so

played HS won states himself
Played minor league won multiple titles
Played some Pro football
Opened up a successful youth program for football
Has a kid playing college football
Has family that played multiple years of Pro football
Put multiple kids in college athletics

I would think it’s safe to say football is what he does and knows. Can’t get that far bar cheating

"Can’t get that far bar cheating"
Re
Coach Overton, have someone proofread your posts before hitting submit you pathetic cheater.

I wonder if you would be man enough to say that to his face, or would you like to continue to hide behind the keyboard. Your probably one of those that ish but have 911 on speed dial

Are you threatening violence? If you are, you are a degenerate loser and everything I'd expect of a cheater. I didn't post the above and I am not a man but I wouldn't tolerate your bs for two seconds.

The degenerate loser is the one who complains with false allegations to every white supremacist willing to listen, until they find some who will attempt to take down a successful football team that has a Black coach and majority of Black players because they are dominating in Northern Virginia.

This is just a dumb and senseless argument and very much not the point. Go with your cheese and whine somewhere else.

That’s a BIG IF and no. Cheating is cheating. All the facts point to the cheating. Just because the argument is distracted away from the cheating doesn’t mean cheating didn’t occur.

Everyone knows that Hayfield did something wrong. It has already been proven that some transfers lied about being homeless. It has already been proven that a member of the Hayfield coaching staff intended to do drugs with a minor (which should have resulted in the firing of whomever hired said coach).

Other wildly successful public school programs also have Christian chaplains who provide emotional and spiritual support. This is becoming a trend among successful prep and college programs, especially since Coach Prime has come out in support of team chaplains.

Creepy Karen the pedophile. Is that you?

Definitely not. This whole saga is otherworldly however. Or at least some mysterious force is at work here. —> It’s like a Korean drama. The plot changes from week to week.

But seriously, only Hayfield and Liberty Christian are the only VHSL teams that tap into this spiritual angle that can give teams an advantage. The WSJ and LATimes have written about this (among numerous other papers/news media outlets).

You are crazy and this is concerning. Your religious views should have nothing to do with public school sports. This is offensive.

My family is not religious. I think these chaplains or life coaches (while they tend to be evangelical christian) help students navigate their spiritual and or life journey as it pertains to sports and academics. That’s all I know. This chaplaincy has been used to give some teams a certain competitive edge. This is definitely more anodyne than the pregame Christian prayers led by coaches before games at numerous public high schools around the country; the courts have all ruled in favor of the pregame prayers when challenged.

That you don't see using religion as a competitive edge as inappropriate is astounding. You are a bunch of weirdos who will justify anything. To assume that some God loves your team more than others beyond dumb.

If that’s the case, schools shouldn’t recite the pledge of allegiance.

The hate is so vicious, some of you will use whatever ever little thing you can find to throw dirt on Hayfield.

These are kids just trying to play football. Just get over whatever it is you have against them. Act like adults people.

No, the people who are being inappropriate should stop. The end. Why does Freefield have so many weird adult hanger-ons? It's like a traveling circus.

All the teams should refuse to play Hayfield. Do not give them a venue to showcase their players.

I see a lot of people have ordained Hayfield as favorites to win, but that’s why they play the game, so best way to silence them is SOMEONE beat them, then it all goes away.
