Are you a Langley parent?

That Langley centreville game was a bizarre one. First half it looked as if centreville was just practicing plays and just picking apart Langley. Second half is was run the ball up the field, turn it over and the other team would repeat.
It was never that close and you knew centreville had it under control but just couldn’t hit the goal.

One observation, Langley needs to move their soccer goal further off the playing area. One of the centreville girls got tangled up in the soccer goal and was injured. That’s on them for half assing their field set up.

I think it’s interesting that a #4 sees concord district team smoked a #1 seed liberty district. Concord will be very strong next year as well as most all teams are young, minus oakton with basically all seniors.

I believe Langley, Yorktown, and WL are all sophomore heavy.

I think it’s interesting that the #2 Liberty district team with a losing record beat the #3 Concorde District team with a 12-4 record. Not sure how the strong Liberty district teams will be next year but they are relatively young teams.

The team who shows up and is having a good day playing together will be the team to win. It’s truly anyone’s game this year in 6A. Makes it exciting for all teams left standing regardless of rankings, seedlings, records, District, etc.

Oakton, Madison, Langley, Robinson, and Woodson have historically always been the power house teams. This is an exciting year for Battlefield, WestPo, Cville, and now Yorktown upsetting South Lakes who was the favorite. Let’s see who can pull through tomorrow.

Good luck to all teams in both Regions!

A 4 goal differential is considered smoked? So does that mean Madison and Oakton smoked Cville?

I wouldn't go that far. Centreville loses 2 out of 3 of their best players, Madison loses some key seniors as does South Lakes. I expect all 3 to be good, but not sure if the Concorde will be as deep next year, especially with Oakton set to lose a lot.

Cville loses - #8 and #13 (not sure who is the 2nd out of 3 best players your referring to is - #22, #2, #4 all return)
Madison loses - #9, #3 and #5 (but they always reload)
South Lakes - #14 and #13 (#14 is a big loss and X)
Oakton loses - #11, #4, #5, #17 and #8 (some rebuilding to do there!)

Oakton loses way more than the pp just referenced. Almost their whole starting lineup is seniors. They lose 2 key middies, goalie, 4 defenders and 2 attackers.
Cville loses 2 impact players but should be good next year.
Madison yes I agree always reloads
And I do think Westfield will be in the mix.

Agree on Westfield being in the mix as well. Was referencing Oakton's better players in pp above, but you are right they lose almost the whole starting line up leaving #21 and #10.
