So. People have been saying that Nathan Phillips tried to interrupt Mass at the National Shrine. I was reluctant to believe it. I have become a huge skeptic. Only one source was reporting on it.
But, now we have video.
I don't know how ANYONE can claim, after seeing this one day after the Lincoln incident, that Mr. Phillips had good intentions in the incident with these teenagers.
They also listed their "demands"......

In video footage taken on-scene, a person can be heard saying, “This is a non-violent peaceful action here. Some of us are going to go to the front of the Shrine so we’d like to … deliver our message there to the front of the Shrine.”

“If anyone wants to go inside and pray, you can go in small groups,” another demonstrator says. “No reason why they can stop you from going to pray.”

“Just say you’re going to Mass,” another person advises, while someone else says, “I’ll watch the cops.”

When they reach the church, several protesters attempt to enter the building before security personnel shuts the doors.

After being introduced as “Uncle Nate,” Phillips goes on to read prepared remarks:

We demand that the students of Covington Catholic High School be reprimanded — not just by the school officials as seniors, but by their upcoming universities. We demand the Catholic Church hold themselves responsible for the hundred-plus years of genocide that our indigenous people have endured — and still persist through — by [implementing] the following: with reparations of land and restorations to the indigenous peoples in the U.S. and across the world.

We demand that the Catholic Church revoke the papal bulls related to the doctrine of discovery, which laid the foundation for religious prejudice and the dehumanization of indigenous peoples.

The mainstream media absolutely was responsible for airing a story before they had all the facts, and this story is the perfect example why. What appeared to be the case at the very beginning was not the case at all. The Indian man straight up lied about what happened, the video was selectively edited, and everyone just RAN with it. It is absolutely shameful and a large-scale failure of the media, and if anything would have happened to those boys, the media would have had blood on their hands.

It had no sound, just claims of what the kids were saying.

At the very least they should have searched for a clip with audio.

Nathan Philips says he won’t meet with Nick Sandmann because he wants this to be a much bigger discussion between the Catholic Church and the indigenous people. He has a bone to pick and this incident was a setup and part of the plan.
