DH called our nanny hot

We don’t want your husbands.

Completely irrelevant. The problem is in OP's head now and it will sit there and fester forever no matter what the reality is. She will feel unsettled and uncomfortable in her own home due to the elephant in the room.

I believe some young women specifically become nannies for this purpose. They would probably prefer a single dad, like on The Nanny. But a attractive rich one willing to leave his wife would be an acceptable alternative

Who needs the patriarchy

Patriarchy has always required the support and assistance of women to succeed. We have people blaming the wife, the friend, the nanny, too many are reluctant to hold the husband accountable. We've got people bragging about how the fire or don't hire attractive women at their jobs. The real kicker is I bet most of these posters consider themselves feminist and were out protesting in pink hats against Trump and freaking out about their rights when RGB died. Fwminism and confronting misogyny happens in real-time, in the smaller moments of our lives, folks

Agree with all of this, except there is nothing the man did that was wrong. He merely commented that his nanny was hot to a friend. Not to the nanny. He didn't create a hostile work environment. This whole scenario is just women tearing each other down for their looks

A man sexually objectified a household employee, locker talked about her with a neighbor, and you are blaming the women for pointing out how inappropriate that is? He did do something wrong, and it probably will cause her to lose her job. The problem here is that you can't seem to understand that.

I would be upset if I were OP, too.

Our nanny was the same age as me, same height but had at least 40lbs on me. Wonderful nanny. I didn't purposefully look for someone who looked that way, but I would not have picked a hot looking nanny.

One of my friends (DH's best friends wife) came over right as the nanny was leaving and briefly said hello to her. Her and I continued to chat and she made a comment "she's as hot as Chris (fake name for DH) described her."

I looked pretty shocked when she said that. She apologized extensively and mentioned my husband Chris has told her husband that we have a really hot nanny. She continued to assure me nothing fishy was up it was just the guys talking.

I feel really hurt. Obviously it's because I'm insecure because she's clearly attractive and 10 years younger than me. Should I bring it up to him?

* she and I.

DH is an electrician. He has story after story, in Arlington in particular, where he's sent a work order only to arrive at the house and find both the nanny and father home in the middle of the day. Awkward silence to boot.

Happens way way way more than you think.

+1 that’s like rule number one in the hiring nanny book.

Right. If the wife is insecure, you would think she would have a vote in the nanny question. Or even if she were not insecure. Plus her grammar is awful.

And a hot elephant.

I'm asking for advice if this is worth bringing up to my DH??

Yes. He needs a filter. Talking about someone other than his wife in a sexual way to others is inappropriate/bad judgment. Sure, he can find her attractive (after all, she is), but calling her “hot” ups the creep factor. That’s just not a way a married man should be talking about his nanny, nor is it the way an employer should be talking about his employee.

Easy with the pearl clutching Karen. Like uou’ve never said to a gf/friend “wow, that guy is hot” or “yummy” or something like that? Never once in your life? Not ever? Didn’t think so.

We had nannies for about ten years and most were young but very average looking. One time I hired a 50+ year old nanny who I interviewed over the phone and she sounded wonderful. When she arrived I discovered she was very hot with silver hair and a figure I envied. I guarantee my husband took notice! She was a very good nanny but only lasted a few months because she ended up having a very active social life with a number of men and her late nights often turned into early mornings and I could see she was going to be a problem so I let her go. So it's not always the young ones you need to worry about.

Where else would the nanny be during the day? Also it's nice when one of the home owners makes themselves available to deal with their problems instead of leaving it for the nanny.

You're confusing your Lifetime movies and porn with real life again.

Ohhh, I don't know. Let's try:

- the playground
- the grocery store
- picking up from the half day preschool
- dropping off from the half day pre school
- a play group
- the backyard
- the museums
- the dentist
- the dry cleaner
- on a walk with the dog

Or anywhere else further than 10 feet from my husband and a bed?

-signed, a woman that pays a nanny to busy her child with quality activities, not plop him in front of a TV while she bangs my DH.

Except it happens a lot. See the above celebrity examples. If famous rich people who know their name will be on the headlines do this, you know there are a lot of run of the mill UMC dads doing it too.
