DH called our nanny hot

Anonymous
DH and I are 40 and have two twin boys who are 2. We have a nanny who is honestly fantastic and quite pretty, she's 28.

One of my friends (DH's best friends wife) came over right as the nanny was leaving and briefly said hello to her. Her and I continued to chat and she made a comment "she's as hot as Chris (fake name for DH) described her."

I looked pretty shocked when she said that. She apologized extensively and mentioned my husband Chris has told her husband that we have a really hot nanny. She continued to assure me nothing fishy was up it was just the guys talking.

I feel really hurt. Obviously it's because I'm insecure because she's clearly attractive and 10 years younger than me. Should I bring it up to him?

This is why I don't hire hot nannys lol

Wow, how could your DH not have known that comment was way out of bounds? It will fester forever, no matter what. Now you need a new nanny.

+1 that’s like rule number one in the hiring nanny book.

OP, don't be insecure. You mentioned you found her quite pretty so you're DH probably does as well.

I would just let it go. If you have not noticed any red flags I would just move on. Though I would get a new nanny because I am crazy.

OP's husband was talking with his best friend, and that idiot decided to relay that information to his wife, which got back to OP.

The comment isn't out of bounds, if she's hot, she's hot. It sucks OP found out.

Get a new nanny. Up to you if you wanna tell your husband why.

All of you are gross for objectifying her like that. I bet she’d be mortified to learn of the gossip.

Consider it a gift from the universe. Dont show your hand, don’t be insecure, just keep this little tidbit of information in the back of your mind stored away that he finds her attractive. Nothing more, nothing less. There isn’t anything to say.

Remember in sec and the city when charlottes nanny didn’t wear a bra

Hot women know they’re hot. Half of the energy spent is trying to downplay the hotness because it unnecessarily threatens people like OP. Hot nanny can’t help that she’s hot.

Why you blaming OP?

Well... it's certainly awkward he conveyed he felt like that.

Because let's not kid ourselves. Of course he's going to notice an attractive nanny. That's natural and understandable. But to go so far as saying so to his friend is not mature, and he should have known better.

So tell him that.

Meh if you like the nanny I wouldn't get rid of her. Anyone remember the whole Arnold Schwarzenegger affair? Men will take any opportunity regardless of if the person is attractive or not.

What an overreaction. Is she good with the children?

+1 you mentioned she was pretty, he's not blind. I agree the issue I have with this is talking with his friend about it
